Honestly, I get the sentiment. There have been times when I stopped following the SF&F anticipation thread of a production I was interested in because it was pages and pages of filler chatter between actual news announcements, and there was no way to know when there was actual news without regularly following the thread. But that's how things roll around here.

Be the change you want to see in the forum. You alone have more power than many of us in getting the actual SNW forum off the ground. Today.

I got some breaking news. People on Twitter finds show to be problematic. Youtubers calls Twitter persons out. Others follow with many having Thumbnails of Pike wearing those digital sunglasses show up when show isn't cancelled.

Concept art is a weird thing. I recently went through the Solo movie art book. Even stormtroopers look odd. Where the production team decides to go is usually a departure from the initial art.

SO....do we have an airdate of when SNW episode 1 streams? There hasn't even been a trailer for the show, so just curious as to what the hell is going on with it and why its taking so long to even produce a trailer? Is there no set schedule or something now?

Presumably with four (?) other ongoing shows, at least three of which with episodes which will likely air before the release of SNW, they don't want to release a trailer and take attention away from what is being released sooner. I'm personally expecting a trailer around the time of Picard S2.

Let's hope they learned their lessons from DSC and know what the fans would like SNW to be like. I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt after how fantastic LD and PRO have been and the good rumors and feelings I've been hearing about PIC Season 2.

Now that CBS and Viacom have remerged, I would love to see some Kelvin-type ships in SNW. There's no reason now why they can't use those designs. But alas, I'm probably setting myself up for disappointment.

The Kelvin Timeline starships were closer in look and feel to TOS starships than most of DSC's. I love the Kelvin herself and really appreciate how she incorporates so many elements from the TOS Enterprise while still doing her own prequel thing.

For merchandising purposes alone they'll probably use new ship designs, even though I too would love to see the Kelvin, Newton etc.

At this point I'd be happy if we saw SNW versions of the Saladin, Ptolemy and Federation classes from FJ's Tech Manual.
