The original TOS pads were Fresnel lens for old movie lights.

Ok I took a pic. I had to crop it and blur some people out to protect the crew. Maybe ill post the bottom half in the near future. Feel free to rant about how you hate it and its the end of the world etc... But I love it.

I don’t pay much attention to the details of sets and honestly don’t know what was different about the transporter rooms of each series. But love this one.

Makes me think of... bottles.

Looks much the same as the Short Treks set, with totally different colours. Bottling plant vibes.

Everything I'm hearing sounds great, but like anything else, it'll come down to the writing. Which hasn't been live-action Trek's strong suit up until now.

The only similarity to the Short Treks redress is the overhead "emitters" or whatever those spots are. The vertical dividers on the walls are common to most transporter rooms, but are not the same here.

I like the use of green on the walls of the transporter room. The TOS set lighting was often blue or green or purple so it's nice to get these flashes of color back in a Starfleet room from this time period.

To be fair, we have no idea what their going to do in terms of post-processing and colorization.

*It wouldn't surprise me one bit if they completely sucked the vibrant life right out of it.

Never noticed before but those outer walls on either side of the chamber do look vaguely... purple. And people say the folks on these productions aren’t paying attention!

I prefer the resonator array at the back of the DSC transporter room to the Kelvin Timeline Enterprise's.

And the vertical dividers or panels with the white rectangle shapes ties directly in with the TOS transporter room as well as the transporter pad on ENT.
