Yeah ... it does feel like this ...
I'm done though... this dance has ended and I'm going to bed soon.
Yeah ... it does feel like this ...
nice gatekeepingThere is now 2 Trek shows that are the only true Trek show today. The Orville and Strange New Worlds.
Spock actually mentioned that in their conversation. From what I understand Spock and her were set up by their parents because Vulcans have Arranged Weddings
I LUV how Vulcan Females are the ones who are expected to do the proposing. They were telepathically bonded at the age of 7 which isn't a full arranged marriage. They meet up at least twice as adults to finalize the plans and attempt to become husband and wife.
it was nothing like the Orville
Is it so hard to ask to stay with the regular system? I'm not sure why I even NEED to do so when it should be obvious, and yet somehow....here we are! Just stop defending this!
So just curious, how large IS the Enterprise? Is there a way to scale the window sizes inside Pike's quarters with the outside window panes along the saucer edge? Is the Enterprise now the same scale as the TOS one or still larger?
One wonders just how much of the planet would have been left if they had set it off.So, these goobers took the central miracle that makes everything in that future possible, and they made a thing to blow people up
Your rage is misdirected. I created the topic, and made the error with no help from staff.
The stories aren't as inventive as The Orville, but then it's still only late Star Trek. What they're able to do, they're doing with a lot of style and confidence. The latter is one of the most amazing things about SNW at this point in its history.
The "warp bomb" moment was both unexpected, to me, and as a long-time devotee of Trek really chilling and horrific. So, these goobers took the central miracle that makes everything in that future possible, and they made a thing to blow people up. Well, of course they did! They're us.
Add to that Pike's approach to persuading the Kileyites, which was diametrically the opposite of Picard's and even different than Kirk's, and the damn story surprised me a number of times. Star Trek doesn't surprise me any more. It disappoints me instead.
But not today.
Humility is a virtue that's been sorely lacking in Star Trek for a long time - along with a lot of other flaws in their narrative stance. Pike's got buckets of it.
Please God tell me it was just Chris Pine with a terribly fake moustachehey we got Sam! i thought Kirk with a mustache needed more character development then being a dead body
I wondered how his body handled the glass & metal of the vial. The beaming-instant-gene-therapy-into-Spock was a WTF? moment for me, but I got past it real quick.
