No, you're not. I've avoided saying the class of ship is different from the type of ship. For example, the USS Nimitz, is the first ship in the Nimitz class, and the type of ship was an Aircraft Carrier (CVN). If they were to name and type ships consistent to the way it has been done in the past up to present time, then If the Athena is the first in its class, then it would be an Athena class ship, it would probably be a ship type as some kind of Starfleet Academy Training Auxiliary vessel. Most sci-fi writers don't go that deep into ship class (naming) versus type Nerdology.If she is the only one, doesn't it make the most sense for it to be called the ATHENA Class?
Or am I being too Nerdogical?
