I thought Colbert was the computer voice?
Announcement voice for the Academy building.
Not ship's computer voice but building's computer voice.
The ship is the academy. It's a bit odd there would be a separate voice for the computer on just the bridge. And also a bit odd that there isnt a unified computer voice since starfleet shuttles were shown to have a male computer voice in this time period.
Maybe the bridge has an dedicated AI component?
Maybe the voices will be in a relationship.
Just in time for a courtroom episode!

Starfleet EV suits have a female computer voice in the 32nd century, so there's already precedent for different computers having different voices even within Starfleet.
They announced Colbert’s specific role would be the “Digital Dean of Students”, delivering daily announcements and other alerts to the students at the academy, which I guess is not the same as being the voice of the Athena computer (I’ll admit it’s a little confusing, though). Come to think of it, from that description one has to wonder what it will be about his role that makes him “digital” and if he couldn’t just have been a plain old flesh-and-blood announcer we just never see. They probably just thought “Digital Dean of Students” would sound cute and more important than just “Academy announcer”.
Brit Marling (who, I have to be honest, I had never heard of before this) on the other hand seems to fill the role that was traditionally performed by Majel Barrett-Roddenberry as well as Judi Durand (Deep Space Nine), Julianne Grossman (Discovery), Alex Kapp (Strange New Worlds), Jessica McKenna (Lower Decks) and Bonnie Gordon (Prodigy). My guess would be that it also has a lot to do with availability, since Colbert probably just phoned in a handful of recordings they are going to use for the background all across the season, whereas Marling’s performance is a little more involved featuring in almost every episode.
There's also the option to have either appear as a hologram/cartoon person.
