As long as you don’t look like Lurch, it’s all good![]()
I used to be called "Lurch" in high school(I was tall AND I have a deep voice -- I sang tenor in church!
)
We all know Lynx would just be googling Jennifer Lien arrest photos and nothing that occurred after 1997.Nope. I might be the tallest and fatest member. Maybe most horny as well, but I would need to take a look at Lynx's browser history to confirm.
A fury would build.
I’m 5”6’. There was one time in the 6th grade that I was taller than everyone else. Those days are long gone.
Star Trek’s Robert Picardo Notes The Major Change He Had To Adjust To When Returning For Starfleet Academy
Well, there's your problem. The language is different in the 32nd century than it was in the 24th century. We never said any bad words in the 24th century. We spoke sort of this not Mid-Atlantic English, sort of mid-Galactic English, so there are differences in the show that I had to get used to.
Ah, yes. Younger, edgier vernacular.Mostly, it was the way the cadets spoke, and then I had to use their own vernacular when I talked to them.
Shouldn't it be the other way around? So I speak differently as well, but it's a reaction, and it's to gain their attention and hopefully their respect.
Shouldn't it be the other way around?
The cadets don't pay attention?
The cadets don't show respect? The instructors have to work the get respect?
Isn't mutual respect a core tenet of Starfleet?
Respect to learn sometimes needs to be earned. The cadets don't show respect? The instructors have to work the get respect?

Given the military bent of the trailer, I'd say those core tenet's went out the window with the burn.Isn't mutual respect a core tenet of Starfleet?
And where was the mutual respect of Pressman violating the Treaty of Algeron?Military? Those are tenants that Starfleet has had since TNG:
RIKER: I was seven months out of the Academy, my head still ringing with words like duty and honour.
~Pegasus.
So true.I'm sure there will be at least one instance of an instructor talking about the most important part of being in Starfleet. Beyond the responsibilities of duty and honor.
The truth.
After all...the first duty of every Starfleet officer is to the truth. Whether it's scientific truth, or historical truth, or personal truth. It is the guiding principle upon which Starfleet is based.
Isn't mutual respect a core tenet of Starfleet?
That is the least military "military academy" I've ever seen.Given the military bent of the trailer, I'd say those core tenet's went out the window with the burn.
Can't handle it.The truth.
Not sure what you mean given Picard respected Pressman's orders until the truth was demonstrated that he violated the law.And where was the mutual respect of Pressman violating the Treaty of Algeron?
