Y'know, this isn't really the thread for it, but I remain somewhat disappointed no canonical TNG/VOY sequel material thus far has ever shown us what became of Harry Kim's girlfriend Libby Webber (glimpsed in "Non Sequitur"), Chakotay's girlfriend Tessa Omond (seen in "Timeless"), the Doctor's wife Lana (seen in "Endgame"), or the real Valerie Archer (implied by "In the Flesh") after Voyager returned to Earth.
But do the writers for VOY and SFA?
Star Trek has never been as good with continuity as Star Wars (at least pre-Disney). It's all up to the next showrunner/ writer team for what they want to retcon if not entirely ignore (the perils of prequels but especially bad with Enterprise, Disco, and SNW).
The original STAR WARS:
Grand Moff Tarkin: (to Darth Vader): "The Jedi are extinct. Their fire has gone out of the Universe. You my friend are ALL that's left of their religion."
Yet in the very next film The Empire Strikes Back suddenly the Emperor himself is a Dark Jedi Sith who directly commands Darth Vader. You would think Gand Moff Tarkin would have remembered that particular fact as the rest of the Imperial Fleet under the command of Vader certainly is in ESB.
Then we have the Prequel situation which SHOWS Obi Wan Kenobi working with and calling R2D2 by name a few times in the prequel trilogy...
Yet again, in STAR WARS when R2D2 shows up
Luke: "This little Droid. It's looking for its former Master, but I've never seen such devotion in a Droid before."
Ben Kenobi (to Luke): "I don't recall ever owning a Droid."
Yep - ROCK SOLID CONTINUITY THERE...oh, wait...

Leia remembering her mother.
Leia is Luke's sister all along, yet Luke is interested immediately, and gets kissed (twice!) in Empire by Leia.
The continuity of Star Wars is not that tight within the films, and the books are worse, making Tarkin sound incredibly stupid with the amount of Jedi that kept popping up.
I think a lot of fans grow up with tie-in Encyclopedias and Chronologies and assume that means the source material is as water-tight as those books make it seem.
People confuse the fact that Star Wars didn't update its visual language once since ANH for the story itself lacking narrative consistency.
Which leads me to think that half the whiners would be fine with twice as many continuity violations on SNW as long as the ship looked identical to TOS.
I did and I found it fun but also incumbent on the fans to do some leg work.
I can almost guarantee it because all the whining over "dark themes" in Discovery were present in a Pike fan film, including alcohol use, depression and violence. Yet, because it replicated the uniforms and sets it was completely acceptable.
I'd call it ridiculous but that doesn't scratch the surface of the double standard.

But yes the OT and mostly the sequels had the same.
Probably because she's posed with people of average height.
She's officially 5'2", which puts her on the short side of normal for a woman.
I don't think she's at the age yet where she'd be shrinking, but maybe she's lost an inch or so.
Same as Carol Kane. Must be a Lathenite thing.
Eh, I dunno. I'm 5'8, and most of the women I've dated were around that height.
Seriously though, no one argues that 5'2" isn't short for a woman. But it's on the short side of normal, since average is like 5'4."
Maybe normal isn't the right word in this context?
