Am I the only one curious as to why Tilly wasn’t in any of the pictures released? Maybe it’s nothing or maybe she won’t be in the show as much as one might have assumed. More of a recurring guest star instead of a regular cast member.

I thought it was confirmed she would only be recurring?

Some random thoughts looking over the pictures:
-They're using PADDs. I guess the show doesn't want to spend money on projecting a holographic image from the badges? In universe, I guess you have to wait until you become an officer before you get the privilege of a badge with holoprojectors?
-If the memorial wall (or whatever it is) lists the full names for everyone, why is Garak listed as "Ambassador Garak" and not "Ambassador Elim Garak"?
-Is the lady Jem'Hadar supposed to be a flag officer? She has rank insignia on her collar similar to Admiral Vance's that's not included on the regular officer uniforms. Then again, upon closer inspection, Holly Hunter has similar insignia on her collar and she is supposed to be a Captain, and indeed, I notice she also has the additional shoulder insignia 32nd century Captains had on Disco.
-On a related note, that stupid plate on the front of the collar from Disco is gone.
-Reno doesn't appear to have any rank insignia at all.

I think I actually like the cadet version of that the best. The solid color for the delta and the little flourish behind it are neat.

the Star Trek Universe comic-con panel is in 3.5 hours. That's 3:30 eastern, 12:30 Pacific.

We'll possibly get a trailer there.

The new badges likely have a matter programming function. For building equipment in the field.

So, naturally, when students are stripped of these during a landing party gone sideways, their peril will be much more palpable.

I continue to marvel at the Swiss Army Knife capabilities of these newest era devices.

But I speculate idly. There are three variations, looks like.

Of all the new #StarFleetAcademy photos, this one is my favourite. You can see (full) images of the planets Illyria and Tellar Prime for the first time, Tellarite writing and the species' emblem and I think I can make out the Vidiian emblem. I'm sure will love this set once the show airs! :-)

I don't care if they are all cured of the Phage. Avoid the Vidiians like poison ivy. They probably instinctively eye you up on first contact to map out where your organs fit them best. Yeesh!
