It just seems likely to me for some reason. I half expect both of them to mysteriously appear.

I should mention that the reason Anakin doesn't mention her in Episode III is because he thinks she's dead and was lost in one of the battles in the outer rim (remember that is where he and Obi-Wan are recalled from when the Battle of Courscant occurs) and since he deals with loss poorly he doesn't talk about it.
Whatever the fate of Ahsoka, she had to be long out of the picture before ROTS. Anakin is not a man in mourning at the beginning of ROTS and another death would have had him completely insane by this point. Not that he was playing with a full deck in the first place.
I think the fate of Rex is also a question. This is how I would end his storyline. While the other clones like Cody are loyal to the Empire, I'd have Rex stay loyal to the Republic/Jedi and him and Cody should face off in the last episode.

Hmm, I'll admit, I've ignored this series till now. I may have to get the DVDs for S1 and check it out. If Anakin is portrayed in a less off-putting way than in the movies, and if that Ahsoka girl is an interesting new character, this just might be better than I've assumed.
Hey it's all brand new to me! The prequels annoyed and disappointed me so thoroughly that I had no interest in anything Star Wars. Now I think I'm finally getting over it.
I really have no idea what happens or what to expect, other than, I spose, lots of fighting and Jedi gettting *this* close to the Dark Side...
Funny thing, the guy who does the voice of Anakin looks like he'd be perfect to perform the role in live action (if he were half a foot taller.)
He's got the Tom Cruise-ish "hero" looks I expected Anakin to have, so much the better for the contrast when he meets with his downfall.

^ Matt Lanter...and IMO does a better job in portraying Anakin as the loveable hero and good friend that Obi-Wan claims he is to Luke in A New Hope than Hayden does in the two movies we see him in.
Yeah I never saw how Obi-Wan could stomach that punk much less be his best friend. Ditto for Padme falling for him at any deeper level than the one-night-stand with the hot, really tall guy...he'd wear out his welcome before lunch the next day.

hehe... definitely check out the cartoon. Amazingly, Anakin is actually a likable character. And Ahsoka, while she did get on my nerves a bit here and there, is a pretty good character and very bearable. Some nice character progression with her too. You'll dig it

I never saw the appeal of younger Obi-Wan, myself. He has this elitist prick quality to him (especially the animated version). Actually, most of the Jedi do.
You know I like that idea, but I don't see LucasFilm letting it happen. Rex would be like every other clone trooper and would probably remain loyal to the Chancellor during Order 66.
It's happened in the EU with a few clones...for all the bearing that has on filmed SW.
If Commander Cody obeyed Order 66 I think Rex did as well. Cody seemed close to Obi-Wan or there were hints in that scene with the lightsabre that they'd worked before together and he betrayed him. I think its just ineviable that all of these clones had no choice but to be compelled by Order 66.
I don't know. I can see them in Rex's case making an exception although it would really drive home the point of how loyal these guys were to the Empire. But if Rex were the lone clone to remain loyal to the Jedi, that would be pretty cool. It might also be a twist on the Anakin/Obi-Wan faceoff.
Obi-Wan's clone is loyal to the Empire (the bad guys) while Anakin's clone is loyal to the Jedi.
^ I, like I said, wouldn't mind it happening; I just don't see it happening. I see them going the route of Rex would follow his orders as he would see it as defending the Republic. Order 66 is meant to protect the Republic from the Jedi trying to take over (in the Expanded Universe Order 65 was the same as 66, except it required them taking out Palpatine). Remember too that the 501st (which Rex leads) is the group that invades the Jedi Temple under Vader. It's also just as possible that Rex is dead as Commander Appo is leading the 501st at the time of the invasion of the temple.

While all true, not all folks have played the games, read the comics, or even seen the original animated series. I saw the original series, have the comic series, but haven't read it all, but am unable to play the games due to a physical handicap. That said, just seeing this "story" animated and on the screen as such just feels special...and kewl.
If it weren't for the cartoonish character designs, I think this series would have an even bigger audience. I think they made a mistake with the Padme and even perhaps the Palpatine character desgins, but the rest are not bad. The Count Dooku design is a bit extreme head-wise, but I'd say that's about it. The rest aren't bad for a CG animated show. Where the series really shines is the environments, the ship/vehicle designs and action that they take place in. They're almost straight out of the movies.
