Star Wars Clone Wars Season 2 trailer

^ That would be interesting. I love Sidious asking Bane to capture a Jedi Holocron. So this is how Palpatine gets the holocron?

Are we going to eventually get some more previously unseen races such as the Bothans? There was one episode where they are near Bothawui and the Bothans were, of course, mentioned in ROTJ and featured in SOTE, so their existence would seem to be Canon. That would be cool. It would be neat if they work planets such as Corellia and Mon Cal into the story as well.

A Mandalorian is appearing next season. Interesting.

Are there any notable Mandalorian characters in the Star Wars universe (EU or otherwise) other than B. Fett, who is still probably too young to be likely to already be a full fledged bounty hunter? I thought that character might have been Durge? He had a similary looking outfit.

um...Jango Fett?

there's also Kal Skirata and Walon Vau from the Republic Commando novels, but they're not going to be hunting Jedi.

this guy's bound to be an all-new character.

Skirata figured into one of the LOTF books ("Sacrifice"?), didn't he? The one that gave Fett the cure for his degenerative illness?

Well, that looked pretty entertaining. I haven't been watching Clone Wars since I feel like it is treading established territory, but this looks like fun. I might check it out.

I don't understand this line of thought...in AOTC, we saw the beginning of the Clone Wars, and in ROTS, we saw the end of the Clone Wars. So why isn't what happened in those 3 years between those two movies of any interest to some folks?

In a franchise called Star Wars, we finally have a "filmed" series that deals with the broadest war fought in this franchise, and some people find it "retreaded territory".

If anything, the franchise of Star Wars should have been a TV series all along. There's just too much stuff to tell in a series of 2-2.5 hour movies.

That's not the issue. The issue is we've already had one cartoon series, several video games, multiple novels, and the better part of three years' worth of comic books all devoted to the Clone Wars. How much more ground is there really left to cover?

Also the important matter of establishing a new character that has close ties to Anakin that was never mentioned in Episode III.
