Is this supposed to be the documentary episode? If so, I's been imagining the final scene is Pike being interviewed. The interviewer, asks "Captain Pike, one last question before we finish off." Pike agrees, at which point the interviewer asks "can you clarify, is Starfleet a military?" Pike sits there, opens his mouth, thinks a moment, closes it, then reopens say "ah, well..." closes his mouth again, gets a confused and uncomfortable look on his face. Fade to black.

I'll clarify, since it may appear my wording is not clear enough.

When I said, "Except it's not", it was a response to you saying, "That's crazy talk." Meaning, it is NOT crazy talk to call Starfleet a military. (Which, let's be honest, it is a military. And there is nothing wrong with that.)

(Granted, a documentary is a different thing than a reporter doing a news story, but there's stuff that overlaps.)
