I liked it fine I guess? I had no problem with the premise, with reality changing and everything turning into a musical. Great; go nuts! I have enjoyed tv musical episodes before. But the songs just weren't that good here? Like there were definitely fun moments in them and I definitely thought "this person is good at singing" (Uhura being the best) during the songs but...they were all so samey? A bit basic? They went on too long and I actually got bored during some of them. They didn't really do much in the way of interesting dance choreography either (it was nice when the ships were spinning around at the end.) The obvious point of comparison is the Buffy musical and man stuff like 'Under Your Spell' and 'Rest In Peace' and 'Where Do We Go From Here?' (and the rest really!) were lightyears ahead of anything here. Maybe I expected too much.
I guess M'Benga's actor was the Alyson Hannigan as he only sung like two lines. I kind of expected Pelia to sing more too, I just assumed Carol Kane can sing for some reason!
The Kligon bit was great but they weren't even onscreen for half of it! An odd choice!
