I think it did alter the timeline. Anyway, it's still an nice explanation for all the descrepancies in Enterprise, Discovery and Strange New Worlds.
And TOS and Berman's shows as well. They missed a chance for alt Kirk to be James R. Also a Vulcan conquered by humans. We did get the Enterprise as an Earth ship, though.

DTI is a legitimate government agency, answerable to the democratically-elected President and Council, charged with enforcing laws passed by constitutional process;
An organization able to control the timeline itself would be answerable to no one.

there are many people (myself among them) who find car ownership and driving to be stressful, dangerous, cumbersome in terms of usage of space, and overall a negative experience. I own and drive a car but I would not do so if the public transportation system where I live were more extensive and reliable.

This, this, a thousand times this.

I don't hate driving, but I don't particularly enjoy it either. If I lived in a city with extensive mass transit, like New York, Boston, Chicago, Toronto, San Francisco, etc., I'd sell my car in a heartbeat.

Geez, @Sci, now there's THREE things you and I agree on? This, Section 31, and DC becoming a state? Dogs and cats living together!

Christina Chong should have sung "Shadows of the Night" or "The Warrior".

Not quite the same, but Christina Chong literally did release a song on the day this episode dropped

Vid is unofficial but it works kinda well as a tie in for the episode!

I mean, ultimately this is a question of your subjective feelings about Chong's and Wesley's chemistry together. I think it's there and so the episode worked for me.

I thought they work together so well I checked their relationship statuses. I found out Wesley separated from his wife a month after the episode was filmed and Chong's boyfriend has been absent from her social media for some time (and she said her dog was her twin flame recently).

Anyway thats a long winded way of saying I wouldn't be surprised if they are dating in real life.

"Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow" contains...

1. Sera, a Romulan disguised as a human.
2. A lengthy car chase.
3. Story dealt with a lead character's ancestor, in this case La'an.
4. Took place in the 2020s.
5. Timeline watchers/fixers, in this case the Department of Temporal Investigations.
6. Got help from a very long lived ally, Pelia.
7. Altered Earth has massive environmental damage.
8. Federation is completely gone, replaced by an organization currently at war.
9. Stop a fork in the road event.
10. Khan.

PICARD season 2 contains...

1. Tallin, a Romulan disguised as a human.
2. A lengthy car chase.
3. Story dealt with a lead character's ancestor, in this case Picard.
4. Took place in the 2020s.
5. Timeline watchers/fixers, in this case the Tallin and Wesley at the end.
6. Got help from a very long lived ally, Guinan.
7. Altered Earth has massive environmental damage.
8. Federation is completely gone, replaced by an organization currently at war.
9. Stop a fork in the road event.
10. Khan reference with Soong getting the file on him.

The amount of parallels and items being aped from that season are far too many to just be a 'passing similarity' to other time travel stories used.

Like I said, this episode essentially proved PICARD season 2 was far, far too long because while this is the least favorite episode of SNW for me, it's still much better than that season was.
I get it, but as @fireproof78 said, it comes down to execution. PIC's execution was just... off.

I just remembered something I forgot.

During the scene when Kirk and La'an were eating hot dogs, Kirk was looking at the ship docked at the marina. For a second, I thought he would quote Kirk "THE ULTIMATE COMPUTER" (which he was quoting a poem) and say, "All I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by."

I am still at a loss at how they managed to check in to a hotel in Ontario without a credit card......

At the auto repair shop i work at, I am constantly surprised at the how many people still carry cash on hand to pay for repairs to their vehicle.

Just the other day a repair bill was close to $1500 and the customer pulled out her purse and counted out five $100 and the rest in $50s.

Some are also undocumented workers with no bank accounts, so their employer pays them in cash or 'under the table'.

So why would paying for cash for a hotel room be so difficult to conceptualize?

Hotels usually take credit cards so that if you break their room, they can still charge you. But also, the more unrealistic thing about that is that they had enough money from playing chess to afford a hotel by the waterfront. lol

I assume this has been discussed already, but this means that whatever secret government organization that made Khan also has a Romulan body that they dissected and studied in their possession right?
