Trust me, I've watched it twice. It's all there. BTW, helpful advice is hardly "ad hominem." You really should understand the meaning of a term before you use it.

Newsflash: Horse doesn't drink the water it is offered! ;)

If it was all there, why don't you put some quotes down and details of what happened? Trust but verify. ;)

You mean the statements that I replied to here? They don't hold up when compared to the events in the episode as detailed. So no actual quotes and details?
Geez dude, reading comprehension. I never said you didn't list things out and pull stuff out of the script. I'm not talking about that. I even said you generally did a good job of that.

It's your gaslighting that is a problem. Specifically--"What you saw in the episode wasn't actually in the episode."

Right now, you're just exhibiting more deflection.

"gaslighting" - You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Yes

And also yes.
So pumping a patient’s disembodied heart with your hands, causing him to scream in pain with each pump, is a thing that actually happens in sick bays on 24th Century Starfleet ships? The Doopler is a real thing? I’m having a hard time accepting the “reality” of these things in the Star Trek universe.

Yes. A lot of Star Trek requires suspending disbelief.
I think even in the 24th Century "pumping a patient’s disembodied heart with your hands, causing him to scream in pain with each pump" might happen under emergency/extraordinary circumstances.
As for the Doopler. Why not? We have shapeshifters, rapidly multiplying Tribbles that are born pregnant, mind switching and everything else under the sun.

This is a universe where you can travel at thousands of times the speed of light, most aliens speak English and an empty room can recreate 1888 London right down to the smells and sounds. I'd say manually massaging a heart during surgery falls into the "yeah, it's the future and an emergency so I can see that happening" category.
