Ok...I don't see the issue. I never got the impression that they were supposed to be "on their own."
Well the further they get out the longer it will take to contact starfleet. Days sometimes. So I want to start seeing some of that bad not have Tpring keep visiting every ep.
When you are seeing T'Pring more often than Hemmer, yes, things are getting a bit out of balance.
I like SNW T'Pring a lot but yes, she shouldn't be appearing more often than Hemmer. I hope Hemmer's in more than just this week's episode.
We have similar issues in Italian, with the introduction of new feminine endings for roles that were only conjugated in male forms (basically the *opposite* of what is happening in English, with the removal of words such as “actress”, but for the same reasons). The details are different, but the debate is totally identical.
indeed. Is Ortegas supposed to be a main character? Hemmer was supposed to be one but we haven’t seen much of him yet.
Yeah she is a main character and my favorite new one. Time to get her an episode. Hemmer has had bit but we need a focus ep on him to.
The actor is also only part time.

IIRC, Hemmer is a reoccurring character. Pretty much the only one from the promo group that is. Kyle, Christina, Mitchell and that other bridge guy (Shankar?) have shown up in more episodes than Hemmer.
