Confusing post on Memory Alpha. The post about Piper said he succeeded Boyce.
I mean, that's an assumption at the point it was written since we had zero information going from "The Cage" to "Where No Man Has Gone Before." Similarly, we can assume Kirk took succeeded Pike, though it was confirmed in "The Menagerie."

Due to T'Pring being much much nicer, I'm going to suggest that she, too, was suffering Pon Farr and it dramatically altered her personality enough that she came up with her murder plan.

The scene is at the end of these "cut for commercial time" scenes from the original Amok Time.
Why are you replying to me, i agreed with you.

If it's not in the aired episode it doesn't count.
It is in the original episode. The scenes in that video are just the ones cut for the syndicated airing, but they're in the original airing and in the home/streaming releases.

I think "it will always be a broad spectrum" answered that question. Some people will fall within the "strictly heterosexual" realm as they always have. It's part of the spectrum.

Ok. Just that you mentioned pansexuals and busexuals only at the end so I can confused what you were saying.

Unless you’re living in 60s or 70s and stuck with only the syndication cuts, I can’t imagine anyone using the cut version as reference.

You know, on second thought this might be my favourite episode so far, but only by a sliver.

And boy does the Enterprise look great in that light.

They weren't playing anything close to Bingo.
23rd century Bingo.

I don't like relationship tropes where couples fight because one is too busy and the other feels neglected.
Seems rather relatable to me, since it happens a lot in real life.

And it is probably a silly nitpick but it kind of takes me out of the show every time the characters wears civilian clothes because it is so obvious that they are just wearing contemporary street clothes from today.
It's coming back!

My one quibble...the Enterprise is at Spacedock to undergo repairs following their encounter with the Gorn, and we are seeing the crew as they begin their shore leave....yet the Enterprise looks practically totally repaired and good as new. Would have been nice to see her still a bit damaged and progressively looking better as the episode went on.

Yeah, missed seeing that last week too but, imo, this weeks beauty shots  of the E in the background made up for all that jazz.

LOVED this one. 10.

And with that I see it is now cononista o clock and the room is filling up so farewell!

- Una being more 'Pike like' and being 'friendly' to get the ensign to open up and tell her exactly what they were doing and why.
- La'an being HARD CORE BUTTON DOWN MILITARY with the "Okay, talk now or the next chance you get will be at you court martial..."

And further the fact that BOTH of them got the same info and La'an and Una are casually and cordially discussing it with neuther one being aware of the method the other used to GET the info.
Before they get into the interrogation room, La'an shouts "BAD COP!"; beating Una to it.

I gave that one an 8! Pretty enjoyable! It won't ever be considered a classic (so not a 9 or 10) but good solid fun.

I was a wee bit concerned that they talked about this one as the comedic episode. Comedy is fine. But they hadn't done one where comedy was a main point for quite some time. But they pulled it off just fine!

I've also been one who wasn't too thrilled about Nurse Chapel. But she won me over in this one! Loved the scenes with her and Spock!

Enterprise Bingo was fun!

First appearance of the captain's wrap around tunic!

Dang, T'Pring is hot!

It's a bit sad watching Spock and T'Pring struggle to make things work knowing how it ends up. But it's also nice to see these events that led up to TOS' Amok Time.

Well, not a lot to say about this one, but it was good fun and "hijinks!"

So you're saying everyone in the future will be bisexual or pansexual?

I think it'll be a broader thing that we couldn't nail down to any terms we use today.

Everyone would almost have to be pansexual to have sexual interest in another (humanoid) species.

The actors certainly did a good job with what they were given. The differences were just too subtle IMO. Body swaps are funny IMO because of the characters being very out of character. For example, SG1 did a great body swap ep where Teal'c and O'Neil swap bodies. Seeing Tealc who is the stoic warrior type suddenly be the wise cracking O'Neil is very funny.
I think they meant for this plot to be less funny than amusing and character growthy.

A classic.

They have done the same on Picard. They went back to zippers, jeans, work boots, belts and collared button shirts that can all be bought at Walmart. It does take me out of the show to. The think that TOS did right was to make civilian clothing seem futuristic. Same with TNG, DS9 and STV. I guess they just don't have the budget to design cool looking 23rd century civilian clothing.
I love the way B5 did it as well; simple updates to current suits and stuff.

I didn't even understand wat M'benga arc was, seemed like they thought of something than scrapped it.
There was no arc. He went fishing.

The Enterprise was WHITE dammit.
Gray. Thanks for trying.

Watched it today at lunch, and again, I thoroughly enjoyed it! I think the writing and directing on this series hit the mark straight away, and to me it's approaching the feel you'd get watching TOS, where you have episodes that are not only good, but rewatchable.

I love Pike's green wraparound tunic, and a great nod to an episode that seemed like it would fit into the second season of TOS easily. While on Pike, his speech about Spock was in line with something you'd hear Kirk say as well.

I'm really enjoying this series a lot, making me feel like I'm little again, watching TOS in reruns in the mid-1970's!

Terrific episode! More lighthearted, while still holding a few serious underpinnings in the story. Pike responding to Spock's pointing out their out of character behavior with "totally" made me actually laugh out loud. Also, Dr. M'Benga is just too wholesome for this world, I love him.

Wonderful episode. As far as I'm concerned, that's 5 for 5 great episodes!
