By month? All events taking place in April, any year?

Many of my events are similar, so I would easily mix them up if I went by event.

Spock said phenomenons. The correct word is phenomena :D
(How can you be a writer and not know that... :D)

This bugged me too. I mean, it isn't that just the writer got it wrong. Peck didn't know. The director didn't know. No one on the whole damn set knew. And then I had to hear it again in the previouslies for Ep. 5.

(I'm a former copyeditor. If once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny.)

Not the first time. Years ago there was a Star Trek videogame of some kind. Don't remember what it was, but what sticks with me about it is that a ship was named "USS Leyte Gulf," and every voice actor pronounced Leyte as "late." How do they end up using the name of a WW2 battle for a Starfleet ship -- kind of questionable in the first place -- without knowing how to pronounce "Leyte"? They weren't even good WW2 fans. Never got past the demo on that one. And yes, the USN did name a ship after that battle, which technically makes it OK for a Starfleet ship based on previous names. But that ship wasn't famous or important.

I suppose being able to bitch about Trek for hours while still watching every bit of it makes me a true fan.

Edit: and it just keeps happening. Eye-Chaya? (ragequit)

I'm a bit behind. Other than I can't abide by the Noonien-Singh-character and that Kirk had never et al had never heard about the Gorn before being told by the Metrons they were called the Gorns, this was a solid and very clever episode! I'm feeling generous so 10/10.

While finally reading the thread, someone pointed out that they took some beats from "Aliens", and that they named theire version of Newt, Fig. I have not seen one comment on the internet yet drawing the connection .... between a FIG NEWTon. Heh.

Damn, I wish that show had been great.

Yup. It started out with so much potential.

I still wish we had actually just gotten "Genesis II / Planet Earth" as a series.

The fanwank to implement it as a prequel to Trek would have been glorious.
