We seen Gorn in Lower Decks, so no.Are they extinct or something?
None of those ships happened across them. The Gorn is being portrait like Borg in TNG here. But why there is no Gorn in any TNG era shows? Are they extinct or something?
Makes sense, although for the Gorn I would've expected something slightly more... functional, I guess. From the Ready Room regarding the Gorn ship designs
"The goal was [...] to design a ship that doesn't look like a ship that we would understand"

Once more, if she was able to get blood tests throughout her life without raising suspicion, clearly she's compatible.Did it bother anybody else that M'Benga was transfusing his blood into Una when she's not human?

Loved this episode. My favorite of the season so far. The stakes were high, but the crew worked together and survived.
It did have a few missteps for me:
- Reference to debunked pseudoscience as I mentioned earlier
- Sloppy handling of translation of Gorn language by La'an's bro
- Sparks on the bridge again and shield percentages
- Gorn ship design is not very interesting
- Etc.
But nothing that really detracts from the enjoyment.
