The Gorn is being portrait like Borg in TNG here. But why there is no Gorn in any TNG era shows? Are they extinct or something?
We seen Gorn in Lower Decks, so no.
I think the novelization of NEM had a Gorn attending Riker and Troi's wedding but I don't think any makeup was designed for an extra for the movie.
None of those ships happened across them.
Makes sense, although for the Gorn I would've expected something slightly more... functional, I guess.

Once more, if she was able to get blood tests throughout her life without raising suspicion, clearly she's compatible.
Maybe it was filtering it so it was just plasma

Biggest problem with the effects was scale, I think.
The black hole looked comically small.
So it must have been on the smallest scale a black hole can be.
It was in the process of consuming a brown dwarf, which accounts for the accretion disc.
Can someone give an estimate how fast the matter in the disc would be swirling around the BH and how dense the disc must be?
It‘s not the gravity that would endanger the ship, it would be high energy particle bombardment of ultra hot gas at close to light speed, I think.

The debris on this bridge looked like tinfoil or shiny metallic paper. A nice change of pace.
