Oh, Jesus and Surak and Kahless), this initially looked like a story that I'm going to like for its adventerous space opera value but in the end it turned to such a dramatic piece that this will really something I'm (ironically enough) eager to see once again and I am extremely curious what my father will say.

To recapitulate som of my thoughts:

- This is looking like some Star Trek guide for sex. You might shag hot babe but be aware she might find your Teddy Bear.

- Ha! Starship Miyatzaki. I suppose it was attacked by Nausicaans!

- No, my bad, they are looking like aliens... Some kind of aliens from the original Star Wars Expanded Universe, to be honest.

- OK, there were some convoluted parts. Starfleet contacting Nus Braka so easily, for one thing and he is talking about long journey between planets that sound how they should be part of the same solar system, to be honest. Also, I think the Miyazaki computer would have to be pretty dumb to accept comic book as a fact.

- Who knew that Tarima was Necromancer from Raised by the Wolves!

- You killed the Vulcan who was also comic book reader?! You are begging for some drastic attack by the Comic-Con Klingons, my friends. On the other hand, B'Avi cited Spock from Star Trek II so maybe Nus Braka stole the Genesis device (that will be recovered by the cadet Lythe) and will resurrect him.

Re: the color of B’Avi’s blood: Checked the episode again, and while it just looks black / dark at first glance, it does indeed appear to be red when you brighten the image. So yeah, that‘s likely a mistake that happened during post production when they added the blood spatter effect, as it should really be green like the makeup on his face a moment later.

During the zoom chat yesterday, I defended that as possibly residual glow from the red weapon used on B'Avi.

Now that I see this (and checking again on my tv), I agree this was a full blown mistake on the post production people, so I will have to retract my defense of it. (Thanks for posting the comparison images, by the way.)

This now goes back to what I said in the previous episode about all the simple errors on Sisko's family tree. It feels like the producers/writers are not in full contact with the post production crew. There seemed to be more interdepartmental checking with each other in the Berman era than there is now. Errors in the franchise are not new... they crop up now and then. But I give more of a pass to the Berman era because they were making 26 episodes a season (per show) for most of the runs of those shows in a single year vs. this era, with only 10 episodes being produced and almost 2 years between seasons. It's a lot harder to be forgiving of such glaringly obvious errors.

Needs of the plot. Not every injury can be treated the same way. "It's the future!!!!" is not the answer. And it's foolish to think it is.
If he needed to die for the plot they could have had his body "poof" like they were always doing with people shot by phasers in Discovery.

- Giving her mixed Betazoid/Deltan ancestry seems to be a nice in-joke, considering Betazoids are technically softer version of Deltans as per the production.

Tarima is not part deltan. Her first sexual experience was with a deltan
