Whether the ship's AI was Siri or Grok or something closer to Zora wasn't clear (or somewhere inbetween). It was having a panic attack, though, and needed someone to relay to her what had happened. For whatever reason it wasn't listening to SAM.

It would have seen SAM as an invader, it says as much, but Tales of the Frontier would have just been new data to analyse.

Get out of your mother's basement, go outside, take a breath, stop and smell the flowers. You'll feel better and lower your blood pressure.

My blood pressure is excellent. I have my own home. Why do you feel the need to insult? Sounds like you might have the blood pressure problem.

Yeah, I may be misremembering but I thought that Feddie ships were arriving to rescue them.
I thought starfleet was on the way but would be little to late (normal trek thing) and discovery was busy. I mean, it looks worse if other ships were there because they would have seen the escape pod.

It's such a weird thing to complain about. Re-using sets should be a sign of a show's pedigree these days.

But I suppose it's essentially the Fallout issue I mentioned above.

A lot of people have "issues" with the time jump.
I am coming to the conclusion that Star Trek is not watched for entertainment anymore, but is cynically viewed as an opportunity to be proven "right" about being superior in knowledge of Star Trek over the production team.

As I and others have stated, it would be cost-prohibitive to get the sets you wanted and it wouldn’t make sense based on the story.

Great! Would you like a cookie? Also, the Miyazaki was a 31st century ship. It was stated in the dialogue that it was 100 years old.

I think you need to go back and look at the sets again with less rose-colored glasses. They redressed and reused sets on TNG a lot.

Ok. If its redressed and they state its 30th century it should be fine. Ill be watching it after work..

Its star trek. Back in the olden days fans argued if the should be called trekkers or trekkies. Its all part of being a fan of trek.

I loved what they did with him in the Resurgence game.

Anyway, I'll never get used to sex scenes in Star Trek.

It makes sense in the vacuum left by the Emerald Chain that another group would gain ground like the Venari Ral.

Is this the first time we've seen abhumans in Trek with the Furies?

I hate that game didn't do better. Jara Rydek needed her own series of books or games or both.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were both around at the same time. I wouldn't mind the Emerald Chain showing up again either.

Random observation but human-alien and alien-alien hybrids seems extraordinarily common now.

Look at any of those comic pages...
Why would the comic pages have precedence over actual spoken dialog.
I would have overlooked the SNW bridge redress if it wasn't for the comic book, which was clearly set up in TOS/TAS style for some reason.

For that matter, the Vulcan cadet liking the comic didn't make much sense, did it? I mean, Ni'var just rejoined the Federation, so it's not like it's something he grew up reading (which seemed to be what Caleb was intimating).
What does Ni'var recently joining the Federation have to do with B'Avi's access to comics? Was there an embargo of Federation materials? Heck, do we even know if B'Avi or Dzolo for that matter, are even from Ni'Var?

Dzolo reaction to B'Avi's death should generate some drama.

This is probably their best episode so far, although not the most fun.

The show's strongly establishing a style that works for it and is different from most Trek. It's not dissimilar from SNW, but takes it further in some respects.

They've got four shows to go this season. Where do they go from here?

I felt more for B'Avi than I would have expected. The actor is good, and the incidents and interactions in this episode elevated him beyond the occasional recurring nuisance.

Zoe Steiner's turned out to be a heavy hitter.

I'd say it's part of fandom and the negative side of it as the word comes from "fanatic."
It's a way some fans behave. It's about individuals, not "fandom."

It's a funny thing that when I encounter Trekkies socially, on projects or at conventions, most folks are almost implausibly positive and fun-loving. The online behavior of some folks is problematic in general.
