I hate to disappoint people, but museums can get things wrong, just like art departments.

But at least it looks "futuristic".Can we at least acknowledge that even after Benjamin left, Jake still got his clothes tailored by an upholsterer?

I'm not looking for top tier. I do not regard Star Trek as the best written franchise out there so my expectations are for characters I enjoy.Unfortunately they haven't done the best job at that IMO. I guess they are trying but I don't think the writing is top tier. Far from it....
Yes, it is awful and completely inconsistent with TOS and TNG.Yes, the whole concept of Voyager was a fuckup.
You care more about the theoretical technology being shown than minority representation?
Representation is what Star Trek is all about. A black woman on the bridge during the Equal Rights movement? Representation. A Russian on the bridge in the middle of the Cold War? Representation. A Japanese man on the bridge only two decades after WW2? Representation. Even Pike's very awkward line that didn't age well in the slightest about not being comfortable with women on the bridge was supposed to be about female representation.Representation isn't a problem.
NoThe technology, wardrobe and sets are the issue.

IDIC is about representation.
The technology, wardrobes and sets are absolutely irrelevant. How many times do we have to tap the sign with the Gene Roddenberry quote?
SighThe sets, wardrobe anc technology are the issue. The new people running star trek had mo idea what they have done. They couldn't even give yhe enterprise the proper viewscreen on snw. Now on the 32nd century their "viewscreen window" is the same as the Enterprise one from 800 years ago. It ridiculous that the design team doesn't understand this.
I hate to break it to you, but stuff like this is extremely small beer as production errors in Star Trek go.If a show is going to open itself up with something like this by saying 'we did our research, just look at our work', they should make sure it's as error free as possible.
Representation isn't a problem. So why should I care and focus on that and waste my time? The technology, wardrobe and sets are the issue.
But they were female klingons. Never saw a male klingon wear a dress , skirt or skant.
I mean, deliberate obfuscation is the easiest answer.I hate to break it to you, but stuff like this is extremely small beer as production errors in Star Trek go.
What's mainly regrettable about the mistake in the Sisko family tree is that it opens up the possibility of some nerds in a future show making an episode to "explain" the error. May the koala preserve us.

If one thinks an "answer" is needed. It really isn't, though.I mean, deliberate obfuscation is the easiest answer.

I believe we were talking about skirts vs skants vs dresses. But the statement I made is true I believe. Was there was a male klingon that wore a pleated skirt before? If so let me know. Not sure what your point is here.Aa
Is this you having a problem with the representation od a man wearing a skirt?
