The starship porn is sadly less than delightful, as they reused the same models over and over again. For example, there is a USS Sovereign in the initial fleet and in the reinforcements coming in to help the stricken vessels. From what I can tell, they used the USS Thunderchild, the USS Centaur, and the USS Defiant models.

Dauntless turns red for one brief moment

Murf is sassy :D

And 250 year old ships :D

Seen briefly, and at a distance, we see the Gorn starship from the remastered TOS series. We also see an Antares-class cruiser (S.S. Xhosa's class).

Those ships didn’t seem in a rush to destroy each other. They were just using phasers. :)
I suppose that could be intentional so they could affect more ships when they arrive.

Strange how the Defiant is there. That’s usually assigned at DS9, in the alpha quadrant.

They are in the alpha quadrant currently.

The battle is taking place in a restricted sector near Gamma Serpentis, which is located in the Alpha Quadrant as per the reference work "Star Charts".

The ships are using torpedoes, like the Akira-class vessel which fired two at the USS Dauntless.

They said heart of federation space which sounds like the beta quadrant to me. They don’t have territory in the alpha.
But if the star charts say they are in the alpha ( I haven’t looked yet) then I stand corrected.

This is the original blue deflector the E had on promo pictures. It was later changed to yellow when they realized they'd have to film on a full scale dish and probably wanter to use blue screen there :D

And here's a video about it:

So what we see in the episode could be earlier Sovereign variants, perhaps only the E as the flagship got a yellow one. I still hoe we're gonna see the Turkeyprise variant as well :D

Was anyone else reminded of STO when the infected ships became red? It’s like the cosmetic changes you can do to your ships. I usually do the Borg ones to mine.
I thought of the confederate ships in PIC S2

Yeah that's why Voyager wanted to go to the Alpha. Cause there's no Federation there. :D
(Of course it is)

Technically Sol is on the border of the beta and alpha quadrants but the majority of Federation space is in the Beta.
Voyager just kept mentioning Alpha because that’s where they got lost. The Badlands are in the Alpha Quadrant.

One of the few canon maps, and the closest one I guess for the time period (PIC S1)

Watching it in slow motion, it certainly does look like it's the Enterprise? Every other time we see a Sovereign it appears to be, well, the Sovereign (even to the point where one of the reinforcement ships is also the Sovereign!).
The registry looks like something DASH one letter, and that letter looks like an E.
They killed Picard (did he still have the E at that point?) and Madden and whoever else remained after Nemesis! And Kira or whoever was on the Defiant...

Have you seen Discovery, season 3?
Sadly, yes. :)

So we got confirmation that Dal natively speaks Standard, which makes sense since a he’s more or less human.
Speaking of which, I think the big reveal is that he was made with Kirk’s DNA. I could see that happening.

The music when Janeway is released from the brig and they are talking about the events of "Counterpoint", it's the first 5 notes of the Voyager theme played over a few times. The actual Voyager theme this time, not the "Voyager-esque" theme they were using for the Admiral until now.

It became clear in the game that he was interested. I was hoping for something less conventional, like Gwyn & Jankom, or Dal & Zero :D
