So you're telling me, instead of Picard Season 3 being the origin story of the Enterprise-G, and 3 of its officers (with Raffi and Sevens origins stretching out much longer), you'd rather an all new ship, maybe of the same class, maybe a new class, to make a 10 second cameo at the end of Episode 10?

And you're saying that is better storytelling than a 10 episode origin story where the name "Enterprise" is earned as the ship acts as the hero ship of the Enterprise-D's final, maybe greatest mission together?

*squints eyes*

Seriously?
Nope. I'm just voicing my opinion.

The only problem I have with the -G is that they should've made it a brand new ship instead of them Renaming the Titan. Also I find it a little full circle that the Enterprise-G is a Neo-Constitution-class or Constitution III class starship as the Original NCC-1701 was a Constitution I class.

also it is way too early for the -G. I still think whatever problems The -F had should've been fixed and they should've been sent on their way.
From the way Matalas talks about being squeezed by budgetary concerns and not being able to shoot some scenes for Ro and other characters, I have a feeling that if they could of they would have made it a completely different ship. And I have the sneaking suspicion that if Legacy becomes a reality the Enterprise-G might look much different when we see her again.
I like the Connie 3 class. I’m okay with the ship being the enterprise but I do wish they’d have started adding digits instead of letters

IE NCC-91701.
I'm guessing the Excel format could be an option too; "AA" and "AB" and "AC"

Remember that time that Data got possessed by a god and turned the Enterprise into an Aztec like temple?

much better than fighting the Jem Hadar
It did help show off more range of Spiner’s acting.
In the ENT episode "Azati Prime," it's mentioned it's in the 26th century, 400 years after Captain Archer's time.
That version of the future doesn’t exist anymore. The Sphere Builders changed it by helping the Xindi in the 22nd Century.
So there’s no guarantee the Ent-J will be the same class. Or if that class will even exist.

With the head of Starfleet Corps of Engineers, Admiral Boimler, orchestrating the effort.
I would love to see what an experienced Boimler looks like. The only one we've seen so far is a lower decker, Tom Paris, USS Titan Fan boy who has some confident issues.

Yes but that entire era is or was or will have been.. sheesh.. effected by the temporal war in other ways. The specific Enterprise J may not have happened but it doesn't mean it doesn't happen, either. I hope one day they do visit that, just not right now.

There were several other ships of the same class in the fleet.
Incidentally, saw this posted on reddit from the AMA Matalas did. Nice to hear that they kept him an Andorian:

I wonder where Starfleet is building starships in the Sol System now? Have they rebuilt Utopia Planitia in Mars orbit? Or is that a no-go since the planet is presumably still on fire?

The only instance we've ever heard of Drones working in the TNG era is Geordis reference that they were loading torpedoes into the Enterprise-D in Vox.

The whole "Dot" drones thing is a Discovery invention and has never been observed in any other Star Trek, mostly because Discovery invented it.

You're applying Discovery era info to TNG/DS9/Voyager events, which isn't possible right now.

BTW, we saw that the Enterprise was being pieced together, slowly, in Boobytrap, we also saw a Galaxy class under construction in pieces in Season 7.

We've also seen the Utopia yards in Voyager and they were still very much building ships the old fashioned way.

Exocomps. Worker Bees. (We just didn’t call things drone except bees back then)
Utopia Planitia was still out of commission…

Starfleet is a bit on its uppers atm.
