Overall, I really enjoyed it. Some nitpicks, but it is nice that the TNG cast finally has a good, proper sendoff. The abomination that is Nemesis was insulting to TNG's legacy.

When Worf thought he was going to die, he should have mentioned that he would be seeing Jadzia again. I'm really angry that she has never been acknowledged outside of DS9.

Looking at the list of guest starts that they wanted, I'm even more mad now as a DS9 fan. They didn't even want to try and get one DS9 alum back. Not even O'Brien who was recurring on TNG first. I simply do not understand the disdain that most of the producers have for DS9. It would have been one thing if they couldn't get anyone, but now it seems they never wanted to even try. Multiple Voyager alum, but not a single DS9 alum (Worf does not count). Fuck Matalas on this specific issue. Stop spiting in the face of DS9. End of rant on this, lol.

This is me just wishing for something here, but it would have been great to have Bashir working with Worf. Bashir was already getting into the spy stuff late in DS9, so that would make sense. He also could have corrected both Picard and Vadic on how Odo got the cure. Both Picard and Vadic didn't know the real truth.

The Enterprise D flying like the Millenium Falcoln was really silly, but it was fun.

Janeway really messed up the Borg and the Borg Queen.

I was laughing that they weren't giving Troi anything to do at first. A little silly, but willing to give it a pass since shes telepathic, and one of the people she was searching for was her Husband.

Jack's turns were a little too rushed.

Would have been better to have a brand new Enterprise G instead of renaming the Titan A.

Happy that 7 is a Captain now.

I'm so happy that Q is retconned. Him dying of what seemed to be old age in S2 never worked for me. He's supposed to be immortal and omnipotent.

All of the emotional beats were perfect.

Loved it ending on a poker game again.

Laris missing is a down.

Overall, a great season. So happy that TNG finally got the sendoff they deserve.

Just watched it. I really loved the ep. The part about approaching Earth with Walter being the voice, loved it. Also nice shout out to JJ Verse with the Anton name.

I really liked that the ep was not just action. I looked at the time left after they figured out the Borg cube issue and was shocked like half the ep was still left. Which gets to my biggest issue, Eps 9 &10 should have been shown together, like they did with the IMAX release. I think Disney was smart to show the first 2 eps of Obi-Wan and well Paramount should have done that here, even if that meant holding Ep 9 back a week.

Other complaint, renaming the Titan. Thought was kind of dumb. Also no name or NCC numbers on the bottom half of the saucer.

Overall though, this was a awesome send off for my favorite crew and TV show from childhood.

As a Niner, I'm quite content that they didn't bring back the native DS9 characters in a way that affected their stories or DS9 itself. Even the changelings are barely recognizable such that they can be safely ignored.

I'm pretty OK with this particular creative team keeping their mitts off the DS9 crew, tbh. Improving on Nemesis is one thing. I'm not so confident they could add any coda to DS9 that would be worth the time. I'm cool waiting until someone else who cares about those characters, like the LDS crew, has something to say about them. And if not, well, they got a good send off.

Unless you're privvy to all the story meeting discussions, various actor availabilities and such..its not really appropriate to say that Matalas set out to fuck DS9.

Additionally, this was about wrapping up TNG. Yes we had Tuvok come back, but that was because of personal importance to Seven.

Before people get upset about the scope of Picard, remember that Picard is focused on TNG.

So we're basically at 2402 now. 2 years off from the alternate future of 2404 of Voyager Endgame. Did Starfleet ever develop the neurolytic pathogen for real?

Why is it disdain?

Why can't it simply be is comfort and familiarity of the characters? This was very much the TNG send off and that's the focus. That's the nostalgia not incidental stories the writers are not invested in.

Exactly.

How's Laris getting on by the way? How about Troi and Rikers other offspring? Changelings were all on the one ship with Vadic? How's Starfleet? Appalling stuff.

Good description.

We're to assume Changelings were on every one of these ships and converted the transporters. Where did they go? Starfleet has a Changeling problem.

Matalas wanted to forget everything in other seasons and movies and re-write it all (erratically at best). Riker's family? Who cares. Laris? Total BS. Vadic: never even fought for her life, just blown out an airlock. Such a bad villain the Borg took over.

How many people died?

Never mind, we'll slap a new letter on the beat up starship and no one will notice.

Shouldn't the officers under her refer to Seven as Captain of Nine?

I mean, I always presumed Seven was her first name, and of Nine her last name.

She prefers the honorifics to focus on "Seven". We saw this earlier with Sydney referring to her as Commander Seven, which Seven has confirmed is what she prefers.

The Changlings were discovered and filtered out via the transporter. We don't need to know where they went, just that they were caught.

That particular story point, in regards to locating and removing the Changlings and Borg alterations, has been addressed and that story loop is closed.

We're to assume Changelings were on every one of these ships and converted the transporters. Where did they go? Starfleet has a Changeling problem.

The episode answered that in the ending. We are shown that Starfleet updated the transporters to detect changelings and we see Starfleet capture a changeling when it was beaming onboard. So Starfleet used the transporters to detect and capture all the remaining changelings that were still out there.

That's fair, like how people were generally known by their first name with "son of" being appended sometimes.

Why do we need to see Kestra in order to know she's OK? As for the Changelings, that's covered during Riker's log entry.

Laris - fair. Her lack of presence in the series finale doesn't surprise me, since Orla Brady said she's in a single episode this season, but it's a bummer.
