I don't know but I just wasn't expecting it, and when they showed Data holding Spot I started crying. It just brought back all the feelings of being a little kid watching TNG in front of my mom's TV.

I'm sure there will be criticisms that it had a lot of predictable Trek cliches and story elements to how the resolution plays out, but I loved this episode because it did all of the familiar aspects so well.

Please...she did what she had to do. What she did with the Hirogen.

She didn't have to beam down and kill em in cold blood, shooting them in the back. It was completely motivated by revenge. Like a jaded, traumatized Frank Castle.

It threw a lot of her Voyager development out the window, for a nihilistic, cynical and damaged Seven, just for the sake of needless melodrama.

Borderline silly in it's execution (no pun intended). So much so that RLM has some hilarious videos on that season.


Suffice it to say, what we're getting here... is a breath of fresh air in comparison. This actually feels like the Seven that came out of Voyager S7, with all the development and growth of the character.

Just finished the episode. I really loved it. Lore stayed evil and is now largely gone. Best of all we got Data back! Worf saving Riker and Troi was great. The whole episode was really excellent. They should have done this all along. This season makes the last two look like something that was pooped out of a 150 year old turtle.

I continue to think that JL dies. It seems thematically fitting.

Stewart specifically said that the season leaves things open to future appearances of Picard, so that’s highly unlikely.

I wish they would decide on what gender spot is.

Sonya being Sonya, her attempt to cook dinner somehow had casualties numbering in the hundreds and actually caused total engine failure in a visiting Cardassian freighter.

I do appreciate the constant jokes about Chateau Picard on the series. It's pretty funny.

Almost underscoring the point that Picard going back to the Vineyard was a complete waste of time and he should have been out accomplishing other things.

I get the jokes, really. Its nice to see Picard not be an immediate rockstar in everything.

I agree, that villian ending was a bit meh. But honestly better than 75% of the villains endings.. Trek sucks at this!

They're not regular changelings. It's specifically stated their physiology was changed.
