I mean, didn't Agnes' Borg basically hide out in supspace until the end of S2?
Kind of...there's that whole...alternate universe timeline timey wimey thing going on.

It's not in my thesaurus, but "evolved" is apparently a synonym for "defanged."Why would a blade even hurt updated changelings?
Borg have never been shown to telepathically control someone not already in their collective, long range, Professor Charles Xavier style, like Jack did with Mura this week. Before I could buy the Borg thing becaue Jack touched Sidney La Forge, and maybe he "assimilated" her or something to mentally control her fight with the changelings. Jack never touched Mura. He controlled him purely telepathically, something a Borg has never been shown to do in all their many, many appearances in Trek. If it is the Borg, then they're changing the Borg to fit their plot.Kind of...there's that whole...alternate universe timeline timey wimey thing going on.
This season is definitely a Trek movie homage.Because Trek villains have never been dispatched violently? Even if we just consider the films...
Khan: Blown up
Kruge: Kicked in the face repeatedly until falling off a cliff into fire.
God: Shot with Klingon Bird-of-Prey disruptors
Chang: Blown up
Soren: Blown up
Ru'Afo: Blown up
Shinzon: Impaled, then blown up
Nero: Obliterated by a black hole
Marcus: Head crushed by Khan
Krall: Ejected into space
I mean...
The Changelings are not right. They can better mimic solids and their internal structures which might cause them to feel pain in a different way. And if they are linked in some measure then perhaps the pain momentarily disrupts that link which would be its own form of pain. Why would a blade even hurt updated changelings? Sure they might be more solid than the originals, but the point of a blade is to cut or stab vital organs. If you have no need for such organs then getting stabbed isn’t going to do much. Unless the henchmen weren’t changelings to begin with. They were infected with changeling goo so they could heal and maybe change outer form, yet they were still solids? This season is definitely a hell of a lot better than last one, but it’s still got its issues.
They are considered Trek's greatest villain and Picard's most notorious foe. Wouldn't surprise me in the least, even if the Borg suck and blow simultaneously.Ok, you guys have convinced me... I've gone from 33% chance the Jack mystery box is Borg related to 67%. TPTB probably feel they have a "new take" so are willing to confront Borg fatigue head on...
That said, the big bad is likely not Borg related.
I don't think the final big bad will be from a series that isn't TNG.The red glowing eyes have me leaning more towards the Pah'Wraith.
^ThisStill #TeamBorg here. I don't get why Vadic would make such a thing out of Seven being present in that bridge scene with Jack otherwise.
Have you watched Star Trek before? There's been a ton of villains that were defeated with violence.Defeating Vadic with violence is the most un-Trek thing of the three seasons
They evolved to mimic solids better, but apparently they mimic them too well. It's not in my thesaurus, but "evolved" is apparently a synonym for "defanged."
If she was going to be generically evil anyway, why not just kill all the organics? Why bother with hostages at all?Can someone explain why Vadic, who had control of the Titan, didn't just use the Titan's or the Shrike's transporters to beam Jack away and be done with it? Or if transporter inhibitors were placed in sickbay, just send a chengeling team to the inhibited area and grab Jack?
She has a sadistic streak. If she was going to be generically evil anyway, why not just kill all the organics? Why bother with hostages at all?
Who cares what Dave thinks, we really want foreshadowing spoilers..
- The Jack mystery box is finally opened in episode 9, it's not exactly a mind-blowing reveal
- The season doesn't recreate the story of Star Trek Armada
- Most fan theories are incorrect
- Episodes 304 and 305 have lines of dialog that foreshadow the dynamics of the Changeling conspiracy
Good.Most fan theories are incorrect
"Most fan theories are incorrect"The "Armada recreation" idea turned into dust the instant Picards biocorpse did on the Shrike.
Erm… I think they were doing that in The Cage. Then it turned out there were no villains as such. Farpoint… same. Emissary… same pretty much. Caretaker… same. Broken Bow… same.
I think you realised that with your ‘at least sometimes’ in brackets.
Roll on midnight, I shouldn’t be hanging about in here getting spoilers…
Come on, we all know Dukat burning the galaxy as a pah wraith god would've been a lot cooler than what we actually got in Dicovery for the Burn's cause.Fan theories suck anyway. Mine have pretty much all been wrong here. And I’m okay with that.
the incident Dorn alluded to in an interview where he said something like "I didn't think Worf would talk like this and Jonathan Frakes was like, Mike just say the lines".
I'm choosing to assume T'veen gave someone the ol' TWOK "Remember..." treatment offscreen before the Changelings took the bridge.
Shaw: You killed our Deltan Vulcan hybrid!! Do you have any idea how hard those are to replace?!I'm choosing to assume T'veen gave someone the ol' TWOK "Remember..." treatment offscreen before the Changelings took the bridge.
