Because Picard unlocked a door, Beverly Crusher had to have sex with a candle.

    Did I get that right?

And what's the point of having temporal investigators/timecops, etc?

It showed a big horrifying evil space thing become a beautiful soft blue pretty thing the Borg offered to guard for Starfleet.

Yeah, are ALL Q dead? Or just this Q?

There's a not unbelievable fan theory Q made up the rest of the Continuum and every encounter with other Q is just Q impersonating them.

Which isn't probably canon but I always liked as it explained goofier episodes as continuing the trial.

    Hopefully all Q.

    But, probably just this Q.

If Jurati's Borg aren't connected to the "normal" Borg...what happens when the two meet? Because you KNOW they will. :borg:

Also, I find it extremely likely that Project Khan is a deliberate reference to the Eugenics Wars of 1996. Whether nor not Adam Soong actually created Khan, or just had a hand in it (or indeed he could have just been looking at someone else's research), remains to be seen.

In any case, looks like the fears of Terry :censored:ing Matalas playing fast and loose with the timeline of the E-Wars were largely unfounded.

As for Q dying: In "Death Wish" he said he hoped he would make a worthy student of Quinn (who definitely wanted to die). Perhaps Q's own death is the ultimate manifestation of that? Quinn got to die, so this opened the floodgates for other Q's to die if they so chose.

Perhaps they were not big enough to overwhelm the full Collective with their own. So they waited until the opportune moment to join, allowing their will to supersede over the previous Queen in her absence. A real coup if you will.
Or it could simply be his idea for a master race or a king race, as inspired by past genetic experimentation, which he was already shown to be enamored with.

Well I thought that was an absolute belter. A wonderful cameo and Q's sendoff was definitely touching. Yes, the overall season's pacing may have been uneven – but god I love these characters and I can't wait to see what season three brings.

Like I said, I hope Jurati is the head of all Borg now but we won't know until later.

Where's the spinoff series with Q's son??

I guess that'd make the Voyager episode where he has "sex" with another Q to create a new Q a form of godlike masturbation. lol

Jesus, that's brilliant. We did see how he could create a copy of himself (VOY 'Death Wish') and create scenarios he couldn't anticipate (TNG 'Qpid'). Neat to think of all those other Qs merely being representative of his personality. No wonder he didn't want to die alone.

Unlikely. "Khan" is just too loaded a word. That's definitely not a coincidence.

And the file was dated 1996, which is when the Eugenics Wars took place. That's not happenstance either. :)

Apparently, the US military commissioned Khan and he took over a huge chunk of Asia.

So, yeah, that tracks with some terrible CIA plans.

Khan was created by international geneticists but he was a South Asian tyrant operating out of the Indian subcontinent. He wasn't a U.S. military asset.

That's how I presume the file was from given the style of document, age, where Sing is living, and so on. I doubt Amazon paid for it.

Deja Q would seem to blow that theory to pieces. Why would Q pretend to have no powers, and then pretend to be a second Q who appears to Q with no one else present and have a conversation with him and gives his powers back?
