Not enough story to fill the airtime. Even with the shorter lengths, the story is clearly slumping in the middle. Why are these episodes so short? The latest Halo was over 50 minutes. This is under 40.
I wondered about that before this episode. Now, I'm not sure that an episode would go out of its way to say that an aspiring female astronaut wasn't emotionally sound enough for the job. It's becoming obvious to me from the more recent flashbacks that she was not really stable mentally and we are eventually going to find out she was committed.
That and the band knew exactly what to do to follow her improvised plan!I liked it more than last week. My only thing was……you kill the power, but the spotlights still work for the band?
Nah, the real problem is that there just isn't enough story to fill the episodes, even now with these shorter lengths.Liked it, but......
I don't think PIC really works as a 'once-a-week' series; I think it would work a lot better if you could binge-watch all these episodes... I am convinced that they will stick the landing, and mark my words: the final two episodes of this season are going to be beyond amazing..!
It would actually explain alot of things about the Soong family lineage.I'm starting to wonder if all of the male Soongs are actually clones.
I think you're right about the need to wrap something up in this episode. They could've expanded this episode from 38 to 50 minutes and resolve whatever is going on in Picard's head with his Mom. No need to drag that out another frigging week. This was very short. Mildly entertaining, but again, it would have worked so much better if they could have just wrapped up one thing (in this case the gala) within one episode.
I'm not sure if we are talking about the same person?I wondered about that before this episode. Now, I'm not sure that an episode would go out of its way to say that an aspiring female astronaut wasn't emotionally sound enough for the job.
Oops! Yeah. Sorry for the confusion!I'm not sure if we are talking about the same person?
I was speaking of Picard's mother in the flashbacks, you seem to be referring to his distant relative Renee?
