Noticed de Lancie got a Special Guest Star credit in the opening but he wasn’t actually in this one? Unless I missed something.
There was a quick clip of Soong remembering what Q asked him about whether he'd heard the name Picard before from the previous episode. Right before Soong tries to run her down and hits Jean-Luc instead. I'm thinking Q won't be happy about this development.

I've never seen that spelling of "Corey" until this show. That must be a rare spelling of the same name.

He’s not much of a robot if a car can stop him.
If JLP was a biological man of Patrick Stewarts age of 81 y/o. He'd probably be dead after a Tesla did a drive by hit & run.

The fact that they didn't give JLP any "Super Android" powers doesn't mean he doesn't have some Android/Synth tough-ness.

The fact that everything else about him physically seems to be ok proof of the Golem side of him doing it's job protecting JLP.

Patrick Stewart has already said that ...

Maurice Picard was NOT abusive - not to his wife or his sons - and that he actually tried to help Yvette but was unable to do so.

One or both of his parents allowed Robert to beat Jean-Luc almost into their 20s because they thought it was character building, and maybe funny.

Liked it, but......
I don't think PIC really works as a 'once-a-week' series; I think it would work a lot better if you could binge-watch all these episodes... I am convinced that they will stick the landing, and mark my words: the final two episodes of this season are going to be beyond amazing..! I think when people will rewatch the entire season afterwards, episodes like these can be apprecitated a lot more... 'The Star Gazer' was such a strong episode, and it worked as a stand-alone episode pretty well, but episodes like these don't reach those heights and are actually a little hard to judge as a self-contained story... So my advice: have patience, and have faith that Terry knows what he's doing. We all want to know where the story goes, don't we, so in that regard: the arc works..!

even though i feel the pace of this season has been sluggish from an overall storyline perspective, i think this episode looked and played out fantastically. Just same great directing by Jonathan Frakes. He had me sucked in those entire 38 minutes.

He's not a "Robot", he has a synthetic body, if you grow meat in a lab it's also considered synthetic but it's still muscle tissue.

It's pretty clear he's still organic, just constructed rather than natural.

Nope?

Regular Federation Picard did not get a Syth body like Soji and Daj. He got Alton Soong's Gollum, that was clearly a mechanical android, that morphed into a humanoid appearance of Picard upon death.

General Picard from the Confederation Timeline, that the soul of Federation Picard assimilated, has a synthetic body, but we don't know his body's capabilities or it's origins.

He was there for a fraction of a second when Soong prepped himself mentally for running over Renee.
And interestingly, like Picard's glimpse of him in the beginning of episode 3 when they're going back in time, the scene is a snippet from a previous scene with him. So, we've really only had Q at the end of episode 1, the beginning of episode 2, at the end of episode 4, and throughout episode 5. Every other time has been through another character's memory and/or dialogue.

I feel like this season has gotten bogged down. I was hoping to get more answers this episode, and while there were some answers-definitely when it comes to the Soongs-I still don't understand why it's so important that Renee Picard takes part in the Europa mission and why the utopian future we know hinges on it. And they only have four episodes to go. It's hard for me to stay invested when I'm still clueless about how many of these pieces fit together.

I really thought the episode went left when Jurati started singing. (Pill sounded great, and all the ladies were really looking good dressed to the nines), but then it came back around with a good Jean-Luc inspirational speech. I feel that the Dr. Soong/Kore thread is too similar to last season. Is Briones destined to always play a character that's an experiment in Trek?

I also didn't buy that Rios just had to involve the doctor in saving Picard. What could she do that a biobed, Seven, and Jurati (if they could've found her) could not when it comes to fixing an android body? Shouldn't Picard's android body be more durable in the first place and shouldn't the doctor-who has suspicions-have known right off that he was artificial?

I believe that they just don't have enough story to sustain 10 episodes, but have been dangling John DeLancie, Brent Spiner, Borg Queen, both Guinans, and the Gary Seven agent in front of us to hopefully distract us. The season started off very promising but got stuck. I still like the tone, characters, and production values more than the first season, but I don't get why 10 episodes are needed to tell this story.

And I'm not looking forward to next week. I had a fear that they were going to do an inside Picard's mind episode right before the supervisor suggested it. I don't care for those episodes, though I hope we finally get some answers and that the end of the season kicks into high gear.
