Maybe his collar with just too tight.
Yeah, no.

It's just an easter egg, don't over think it.Yeah, no.
It depends how far they want to go with this and if you consider writer tweets canon. Unless it's contradicted onscreen, we fans can pretend Guinan did recognize Picard upon hearing his name.In this timeline Guinan grew to be so bitter and angry, she even stopped wearing big hats!

Except it's self contradictory showing the punk remembering Spock.
I fail to see how if the Fed never existing is the entire basis for the timeline change. Not necessarily. Just because the timeline change prevented Picard and Guinan meeting, it doesn't automatically mean that the events of STTVH don't still happen. The two events aren't linked.
So yes, the punk remembers Kirk and Spock.
more like one year and half. But suddenly very relevant. That’s from 2 years ago. If you want to start a new topic about it I’d be happy to chime in.
But against board rules.more like one year and half. But suddenly very relevant.
The actress who plays Young Guinan was also told the same thing during production when she asked about Guinan not remembering Picard. It depends how far they want to go with this and if you consider writer tweets canon. Nothing in the episode indicates he remembers Spock and Kirk.
She went from tiny Victorian Era hats in 1893 to no hats in 2024 and then YUGE hats by 2293.

Damn. Don't hold back. It's an interesting take. And, you know what? The conclusion is the same either way. The writing of this episode was terrible, easily one of the worst in the series to date. This may be my least favorite episode of the show thus far, and that includes the awful conclusion to last season. It's just such a shame to see them wasting a decent set up like this, pissing their time away on member berries and nostalgia schlock.
I'm not saying they didn't think about it. I'm saying how far it's expressed on screen is the canon fans really need to worry about to keep things simple. The actress who plays Young Guinan was also told the same thing during production when she asked about it. So it is something they thought about. Terry didn't just think of it now after the fact.

“I think what Terry does in terms of storytelling when it comes to time travel is just brilliant,” she said at first with a smile. “I don’t think he ever got me a clear answer on it. And I think…” She paused for a long time. “I never will.”
Fortunately, a representative for Paramount Plus did provide a rather head-squeezing answer from Matalas on this question...
Exactly, it's a joke. Don't take it seriously. It's an easter egg, a nod to people who have seen ST4.That's nonsense. The entire scene is built around the in joke of him going to his neck when he's asked to turn the music down.
Bumping an old thread, regardless of relevance, is against the rules (I believe over a year but I could be wrong). You are welcome to start a new thread and link back to the old one for context.
Yup.Just following the rules. Make a new post about it and I’ll discuss it.
