Fantastic episode in an otherwise bit too exciting season. I totally share William’s scorn with multiverses and love how they built and made me care about t’pol’s and curzon’s friendship in so little time. Easily a 9, waiting for the finale. I’ll miss this show.
Except an hour or so after the events of Rogue One where Vader can't be arsed to slice and dice another bunch of Rebel soldiers and sends his stormtroopers in instead? Sorry, final word on the subjectThe thing is with Vader's slaughter in Rogue One is that you've got a bunch of rebel soldiers with no force abilities, that are little more than gun fodder in the grand scheme of things. Easily to slice and dice.
Vader vs Obi-Wan was way more about swordsmanship between two experts and testing your opponent's weak spots. There's a lot of cutting and parrying to try and get the advantage. It feels more like a real sword fight with all the point work, but I guess it just isn't that spectacular looking.

Was commenting to a friend on how dropping in on the Anaximander felt like we were seeing an episode of Star Trek: Anaximander. Part of that is due to the crew being made of familiar characters and the dialog exchanges that gave us backstory. So credit to the writers.
I dunno about that one. Lt. Kim turned out to be a bad guy while all the Ensign Kims were the good guys. Sounds like this episode provided justification for why Harry was never promoted.
You know you want to see a "Live-Action" CG Moopsy eat some poor sod.
I can tell that this episode's really got people caring about the series again, as the poll has just hit 100 votes. That's the average that an episode would get in previous seasons, and double what they've been getting this year.
Up until now I enjoyed Starbase 80 and possibly Fully Dilated, but I didnt feel super engaged. Fanwank and nostalgia really does get fans talking.
Ooooo could this serve as a backdoor pilot, in theory? To replace what we're losing with Lower Decks.
Except both were considered to be the worst type of obscenity at various times. I'm sure that in the 20th century, there was a rationale for the F-word, and the D-word 100 years earlier than that.
I still see it as a simultaneous effort to feature Garrett Wang, while staving off both the people who wanted justice for Kim, and the people who reveled in Janeway's capriciously ruining his career. Plus (barring "our" Harry showing up in the finale), if PRO beats the odds and gets a third season, they can still use Harry as they intended to.

I don't care, this episode was awesome and got a solid 10 from me. It was nostalgia done right, it fit the story, it was engaging and freaking hilarious.
I legit fell on the floor laughing when they said most of the crew were rescued Kim's and they are all still ensigns. I sounded like a maniac!

I freaking LOVED the Beagle. 
What's the down side?
It was pretty great getting to see an early 22nd century ringship in action and how they configured themselves during flight and in landings on surfaces.I freaking LOVED the Beagle.
