I think they just showed you the “literal” lower decks of a Borg Cube
Yep it's canon now :guffaw:

Overall that was a brilliant concept for an episode. The Vulcans were frustratingly hilarious and the high camp nature of Klingons was always a perfect match for LD. It was pretty impressive how quickly you were able to understand and emphasize with the new characters and shows real quality in the writing

Nice idea. Decent episode, didn't love it as much as some but it was a good watch. Popped for the Borg Lower Decks gag at the end.

If the Cerritos is as large as an Ambassador-class ship, that Vulcan cruiser must be HUGE.

Oh and they said "Vulcan High Command" because nobody remembers that 3-part ENT episode that ended in it being disbanded.

That was a lot of fun. It was great seeing Lower Decks on the other ships. Especially the Borg tag at the end credits!

I loved the scenes on the Vulcan ship, as T'Lyn trying to be resourceful, but the commander is exasperated at her continued emotional outbursts. :D

That contrasts vividly with the Klingons, where they deal with things in a more colorful manner. :techman:

Boimler trying to find a friend among the command staff was cute. I loved his Kirk 'Go Climb a Rock' shirt when he first shows up.

The Pakleds showing up again was also hilarious. Is this the first time we've heard the red alert, sorry, red alarm? I can just picture a Pakled recoding that. I'm sure there was a hint of sadness in it as well? :D

They got the band back together?

They probably just reconstituted the High Command at some point after ENT. A form of it existed in the Kelvin Timeline in Trek 2009 even if it wasn't specifically called "the Vulcan High Command" so in that timeline they had definitely reinstated some form of the old mid-22nd century Vulcan deep space command structure.

I was kind of surprised they actually have their own separate fleet. I thought maybe there were Vulcan-only Starfleet ships, but not actual Vulcan ships. Is this a much smaller fleet? If not, where were they in the Dominion War battles? They're clearly quite formidable.
Perhaps the Vulcan Expeditionary Group really is non-military and devoted purely to exploration? Or in the event of warfare, the VEG focuses solely on defense of the Vulcan system? I'm sure there are many reasons to explain why they weren't involved in the Dominion War, the point is it's about time the franchise finally started showing the other Federation planets do have their own defense forces and exploration services rather than relying on Starfleet for everything.

Also show Starfleet does not equal Humans by having Earth ships operating alongside Starfleet.
The way I see it every planet has cargo and science ships but Starfleet have all the military which is why you only see them in battle

If that name is the most logical for the job the replacement organization does, then, logically, they should have the same name.

It's funnier if they are repeating it into the microphone in real time.

Oh, and when the Vulcan captain has the ship change course, you can see T'Lyn in the background smirking a bit.

I loved the detail work of this tiny little reaction. T'Lyn is even out-of-focus at the time!

This is such an impressive show.

Mind you, ENTERPRISE failed to sell the idea of the Vulcans being arrogant jerks versus very politely tolerating a massively racist Starfleet captain calling them such.

And that's as perfect a summation of Enterprise as I've ever seen. Too bad they didn't have the sense to lean in. Enterprise might have worked if presented as Trek's first dark anti-hero drama.

Personally, I think they made the Vulcan Cruiser a bit too big unless the Cerritos is a tiny ship.

I do think the Cerritos is a relatively small ship. I definitely don't think the Cerritos is the size of a Galaxy class like someone in the chat of a Trekyards video suggested. I could see the saucer section of the Cerritos being about half the diameter of the Galaxy class saucer.

Either the ships are way out of scale or in the 220 years since ENT the Vulcans have been making some pretty massive leaps in spaceship design and construction that put Starfleet's to shame.
