Well, this episode was a complete whiff on every level. Nothing at all worked. An entirely laugh-free episode.

The party story didn't work, the doopler business was lame and once again Tendi and Rutherford are saddled in a completely pointless dud of a subplot.

Bleh.

I'm gonna have to disagree here strongly. Best character development since the finale. Finally some consequences for Boimler and Rutherford.

Another 8 from me. The nervous Doopler gave me a couple of laughs, as did the angry one at the end. I also loved seeing Mariner dealing with her issues with Boimler's move to the Titan.

I'm just really enjoying the show, on the whole, this season.

Haven't seen the episode (though I scrolled through the exhaustive screencaps at Cygnus-X1), but just looking at the character, I imagine the Dooplers performed by Justin Roiland doing his falsetto Morty/Mr. PoopyPants/Blandin voice.

I can find skant things to dislike about this episode...

Joyous as always. Loved the Data bubble bath and the best warp core ejection ever. While it's good to change up the partnerships on this show, it was nice to see Boimler/Mariner and Tindi/Rutherford again.

Re the reference to Boimler needing to grow a beard now, I remain convinced William Boimler will have facial hair next time we see him.

This show makes me smile and gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside that precious few TV shows do.

This is my favorite episode so far this season! The A/B/C stories were all fun and connected in a satisfying way, I love that Star Trek toys are canon, that they were building a functioning starship model with full interiors, and that they even had tiny little badge cards, although the scaling of that model vs. the tiny interiors they showed...I think we could have a size discussion on that, was it really to scale? And the production design was fantastic! The interiors of Starbase 25 are exactly the type of big sci-fi structure I've been wanting to see within the Star Trek universe that the shows never get to show us. Huge areas where people are just being alive and doing things in the future, not on some pretty planet, but on something artificial in spaaaace. This show has a great look to it, and every episode it feels like the team is having so much fun bringing it to life. I love animation that expresses love from it's animators and effects artists just as much as I love it when you can tell actors are having fun playing their characters.

I am surprised how much I missed Boimler and Mariner episodes. It was nice to get a break and mix up the characters the last few episodes and I hadn't really thought much about them being apart. But having them back here, and in an episode that is actually quite sweet, was very nice. I like the way the characters are getting closer this season, even though each episode feels like the show is still trying to figure it self out in ways. And Captain Freeman is hilarious. I love her as a not-foil to Mariner. She is obsessive about looking good the way Mariner is obsessive about not looking good, and when you push her into her most fundamental behaviors, she acts just like Mariner.

Starbase 25 was basically a gigantic version of the Starbase seen in the Remastered "The Ultimate Computer(TOS)." I love that.

I think this might be the 3rd time we've seen a franchise of Quark's. There's this, one on Freecloud, and I feel like there was one other, but I can't remember now.
