Spoilers Star Trek: Strange New Worlds 4x03 - "Human Best Friend"

[Cyrus]

This Star Trek version of The Hangover wasn't bad, was actually a lot of fun. My favorite part was Una singing Total Eclipse of the Heart in Klingon.

Bonnie Tyler and Pat Benatar are officially canon now.

[Galaxy]

Yes A comedy episode.

Trek does those. Generally not this entertainingly.

Something like House of Quark had more of a story, imo.

And...?

And...?

Not sure what else you were expecting as statement.

WHAT WOULD GENE THINK? WHAT WOULD GENE THINK? WHAT WOULD GENE THINK?

How much am I making in residuals?

and

What elements from this episode can I pimp to the fan base for money?

Lincoln Enterprises would have a tacky necklace ready to sell at the next sci-fi convention.

Ortegas got character development! Woohoo!

Total Eclipse of the Heart in Klingon is going to be a classic:

As they should be.

Infinite Dicks in Infinite Comb...oh wait, that's TTBBS.

[Quantum21]

Oh man, this didn't feel like Star Trek to me, it's the first time I can remember watching anything in this franchise and everything feeling out of place.

There are a few good character moments, but like Star Trek V we need to laugh with our characters, not at them. This is a misfire and probably the second worst live action episode since the Discovery era started.

[Smellincoffee]

Rebecca Romjin singing "Total Eclipse of the Heart" in Klingon covers a multitude of sins.

7.

Just fun.

If I were to nitpick one thing about this episode…

How did Ortegas make it to the lead helm officer on a top of a line class of starship without understanding how her piloting affected the ship’s engines?

Isn't pilot vs mechanic a time honored conflict? Didn't Sulu once say "Fly her apart!

[Mudd]

Honestly, it's hard to believe that her piloting can damage those massive warp engines. It's an FTL spacecraft, for gods' sake. As someone on another Trek show said once, if the ships were that fragile they'd never leave dock.

Scotty's a fussbudget.

[Severed Head Canon]

There are plenty of reasons not to like DSC without playground acronyms. The fandom is its own worst enemy.

I don't know. I kind of think my worst enemy is my achy knees and back.

And a truck seat.

[Severed Head Canon]

And a truck seat.

Technically it was the red light and traffic jam. The truck seat was in the end. The ultimate victim!
