Does she though? Has she been shown to know more than the Senior Staff?Trained to know more and be better than the senior staff?

*ahem* Kirk...*ahem*What exactly don’t you understand about her Dad being an Admiral and her Mom being a starship captain? She likely is far more mature than others at her level, especially considering she has been promoted and demoted already in her career.
And she isn’t the first character in Star Trek to question the orders of those above her. Not by a long shot.
Probably old news to some, but Trekcore has collected all photos released for “Envoys” thus far. Looks like fun!
I meant she had a head start because she grew up on a ship with officers for parents. You are applying the worst possible interpretation of everythingAnd people hated Wesley Crusher for being the know-it-all with all of the solutions who kept upstaging the senior staff.
The difference is I believe Mariner actually knows what she is doing.
Actually, I think it's to get back at her parents - BOTH of whom are fairly high ranking Starfleet officers. She's just using the situation she's in and whatever she has at hand in the endeavour.Yeah, we need to remember that Mariner is a competent starfleet officer who knows what she is doing. She just marches to a different drummer because she is pissed at Starfleet.

I'm liking Mariner a lot, and she definitely isn't a Mary Sue. I just find it tedious that she's the heroic one who's always saving the day while Boimler is the whining wuss who's the source of ridicule. Any chance the latter can do something great for once at Mariner's expense or is that not allowed because he's a white male?
You know, this subforum might be new, but that doesn't mean that all your trite old material is somehow new again. You've been warned several times in the past, both formal and friendly, about this kind of racist and sexist rhetoric. Literally everyone knows your opinion about this, there's really no need to harp on about it any further. Any attempt to do so anyway will be regarded as trolling from now on, so be warned. Any comments to PM.I don't think they have the guts to show the white male showing up the black female, but I hope to be proved wrong.
Andorians are the coolest species in the federation and they are warriors, I would like to see how Andorians and Klingons interact.Cool like the other side of an Andorian's pillow.

It's almost like the show is a comedy. Nah, that can't be it.A competent Starfleet officer who got a Klingon general drunk on his way to a conference/meeting of some sort and then a shuttle stolen.

This is the first episode of Star Trek ever to show someone getting drunk. Gene’s ashes are ashamed.
Gene's ashes are probably still high. This is the first episode of Star Trek ever to show someone getting drunk. Gene’s ashes are ashamed.
Not what I fucking said.
K’orin was a friend. So he and Mariner did what Klingons do, get drunk and tell stories. And Boimler walked off the shuttle without securing it, just like Mariner did.
Trek has used "drunk" humor since day one. Officers getting drunk. Officers getting other people drunk. Virus that make people seem drunk.A competent Starfleet officer who got a Klingon general drunk on his way to a conference/meeting of some sort and then a shuttle stolen.
