KITT:""This photo shoot is just totally queer, Michael. For the love of all that's decent, can you and the boy just STOP?"

Totally unwarranted, maybe even a non-sequitur, yet I LOLed.

Glad you guys liked it. I've been using that image on another forum whenever things get too silly. I'm thinking of putting it in EVERY SINGLE THREAD over on the "Star Trek IX" forum. Every discussion over there is stoopid.

Goes to show just how the polemic language aimed at people over 60 years old is used by younger minions to insult young contemporaries they don't like with a word that doesn't mean anything to their generation.

Karl Rove is an asshole. Asshole is multi-generational. :D

I still know older people who call blacks "colored" and "Negro" even after all these decades of polemic and semantic evolution and changes. To be sure, either of those are INFINITELY better than the N-word, but it's odd in the year 2007 to still hear "Negro" and "colored" come from some people's mouths. And every once in a blue moon I still hear "cracker" or "whitey" used by black people. :D

I see racism aimed at white people by blacks all the time on blogs or black sites. The kind where if you'd replace "white" with black or jew it would be deemed unprintable

How about "Negrafroicamericolored"?

For all the "correctness" and "incorrectness" of terminology, I notice that the NAACP still has "Colored People" in its name.

Moderator, please close this once joke thread before it's too late.

It's turned really ugly lately.

True enough. Let's take the language discussion elsewhere, OK? There are other forums far more suitable for this type of discussion.

'Ugly' is the right word.

They say that Nimoy has signed with Mission: Impossible for this fall. How are they going to explain his ears to the audience? Who will he replace? I mean these are two of my favorite shows. One is being cancelled and the other is being screwed with!!!

At least we know Shatner will go onto better things. He's a serious stage actor. He'll go back to Broadway, I'm sure. You won't catch him doing something cheesy like a cop show.

Well, that's the end of sci-fi TV. Lost in Space, Star Trek, The Twilight Zone, they're all dead... we're in a veritable dark age of the genre.

At least they still have Doctor Who over in Britain...

There's an ENTIRE FORUM dedicated to Star Trek Insurrection? I didn't realize that movie was so popular.
