I'm virtually certain that Oros is not 10C. I'll be really curious about how they portray 10C. They'll be so different from any species that we know of. So much so that they're not even aware that their mining equipment is killing lifeforms in our universe. 10C is likely from another universe with no similarity to life in ours.It was good, not great. I didn't care for the Book and Tarka subplot. Basically Tarka had told the truth about why he wanted the power source. Very underwhelming. It would not be a waste if his friend turns out to be species 10C. But I hope 10C are much more alien than that one.
In the end, Tarka will join Zora as they trek through the universes. Zora for discovery and learning about 10C. Tarka so he can look for his friend.Actually I’d prefer an antagonist so complex it takes significant time to assess their intentions and work towards a solution. Why all the time on Tarka’s friend unless he is the problem?
And TOS threatened the future. DS9 showed military coups and aliens attacking Earth. It's pretty much trended since TMP.
Are they concealing themselves or is it a protective bubble that maintains entirely different physical laws? But if they are indifferent to the DMA killing life in the galaxy, why are they concealing themselves?
Nah, I don't think that will happen at all. It's just your standard ticking clock and to provide motivations to characters like Ndoye and T'rina. We've already seen that Ni'var being under threat brought T'rina and Saru closer together, it will be interesting to see how it motivates Ndoye.
We know from Vance that ships are on their way to support Earth and Ni'var. My guess is that Earth will be in the greatest danger and Starfleet will defend Earth from the worst of the debris headed it's way. The fact that Starfleet stepped up to protect Earth, most likely losing a large number of ships in the process, will be what drives Ndoye to become to the leading proponent for Earth rejoining the Federation.
Well, with Starfleet Academy set on New Earth, according to leaked documents
Everyone's given up on the badge teleporters. "Captain to the bridge immediately!" goes Saru. Does she beam into place? Nope, takes a walk and a turbolift...
I think they realized that badge teleporters work better in theory than in practice. Who really wants someone popping up out of nowhere? What if they materialize where someone on a path is walking?Everyone's given up on the badge teleporters. "Captain to the bridge immediately!" goes Saru. Does she beam into place? the computer is supposedly intelligent enough to avoid collisions.I think they realized that badge teleporters work better in theory than in practice. Who really wants someone popping up out of nowhere? What if they materialize in where someone on a path is walking?
It was a new toy that wore out its welcome.
Let me put it this way: other people are afraid of Artificial Intelligence. I'm afraid of Artificial Stupidity. 1,200 years isn't fixing that. If a computer suddenly does something stupid, and we all put ourselves at the mercy of it, it's not going to be pretty; depending on what we're talking about.the computer is supposedly intelligent enough to avoid collisions.
That's a waste of perfectly good food.I'm honestly surprised people don't use the transporter to enable eating disorders.
Like, binge on a ton of food, then transport it out of your stomach right after.

No, no, no, you're right, but see above. ^^^That's a waste of perfectly good food.
