I just want to point out that it's NOT the angry OLD Trekkers that are doing most of the complaining.
It's the YOUNGER TNG onward, somewhat Newcomers, to Trek that are mostly doing all the pizzin' & moanin'.

I'M One of the Original OLD Timer's around here and I loved the first two seasons of DISCOVERY.

what is 1st generation dubbed trek (in ones native language) to you? other than younger (started in '72 here)

I didn't think it was the entire crew either, but certainly more than the people Tilly brought and "a few others." I guess we'll find out in Season 3, but my guesstimate ranges from a conservative 30-35 people to a larger 70-80 people.

Even so, I am pretty sure we'll see faces (among the crew) that we have never seen before.

What I am saying is that we never saw "our" Lorca die, so he could still be alive somewhere... If they can revive Georgiou...

That's where the concept of 'show' comes in (as part of the 'show' don't 'tell' concept). She says everybody else who who wanted to come to offer their support was busy. Afterwards, we see said people being busy.
