But not murderous insanity. It still leaves the question as to what happened to the 3 people after Spock left the room.

If Spock is not a murderer, either Section 31 killed those three men, or they are fake people who were pretend killed on paper, or section 31 has them in a black site, or they were section 31 doctors who are now hiding and pretending to be dead.

She's questioning your spelling, not the scene. It's Culber.
I always thought it was Gulber... I'm also unsure whether our traitorous infected robot is Ailiam or Airiam... Discovery has been somewhat... lacking in effectively making second-sting birdge characters memorably identifiable, IMO.

Did it look like this?

Nope, more like this....

To circle back to the trauma/argument for just a moment (sorry if this is dead horse beating) -- I can go along with it because of how young Spock is here. Five? And here's the person he can most be himself with, without disappointing Dad or having Mom tell him to go back to emulating Dad. Someone who he can talk to about bullying. Someone who is obviously also an outsider and so he can relate to her.

And then she cuts him to the quick.

And then later, as adults, they are "too busy" or "out of range" or "it slipped (my) mind" or whatever. People can find dozens of excuses not to kiss and make up.

He wouldn't have let it continue, but I don't think he would have thought less of either Culber or Tyler for it. After all, he knows what it's like to both have your identity stolen from you and being forced to participate in atrocities, and he also remembers how he acted towards his tormentors in First Contact.

Mostly agree. He'd have shut that fight down imediately and hualed everyone into his ready room. He'd give a stern but fatherly speech about understanding their difficulties before telling them he still expects more from them and how they should expect more from themselves given the uniform they wear. Everyone walks out a little ashamed of themselves, even Picard who wished he could have avoided it somehow even though he knows he couldn't.

Scene cuts to a flyby of the Enterprise with sad orchestral music followed by the end credits.

I still credit Anson Mount for the great run Discovery is having right now. We need more Pike less Burnham …. and I have been a Discovery fan since episode 1. And in defense of Burnham - having the character growing up on Vulcan makes it very difficult for the actor/actress in that they can't utilize emotion in their acting like a normal character. Very few have been successful in showing emotion in different ways with Vulcans. Of course Nemoy nailed it. I think Tim Russ is one of the few others that I think found a way to provide depth even with the handcuffs of emotionless Vulcan character. I like Zachary Quinto's Spock but he has used emotion a little more in his performance.

7.

For the first time in the series run, I'm interested in what happens next week. They did a far better job with the Talos IV stuff than I thought they were capable of. Though all the running stories were actually interesting in their own right.

I think they've introduced the multiple timelines with Burnham to give themselves and fans some wiggle room on how this all fits together.

But, unlike most, I found "The Cage" opening jarring and would've rather had them reshoot some scenes with the current actors.

It played out as I expected but instead of "halfbreed freak" I thought it was gonna be something to do with Mom likes me better or something. Still the best of the season and maybe series for me.
