on after trek they said this is supposed to be where they all come together as a family and they purposefully now brought in the rest of the cast as part of that.
He said they wanted a new way to fly.Lorca went out the moon door.
Only took them 13 episodes.on after trek they said this is supposed to be where they all come together as a family and they purposefully now brought in the rest of the cast as part of that.
I couldn't get past the first 10 minutes of the 1st episode of After Trek. Thought the host was awful. Maybe I should revisit it...If you're not watching After Trek, you are missing out on a lot of insights about the direction and intent of S1. Interesting stuff.
I think they're actually pushing the ensemble now. Isaacs leaves, and Saru becomes more captain-like and Airiam gets lines.
We can only hope.S2 will be almost like an entirely new show.

If Isaacs wasn't the breakthrough on this series so far (the audience and fan favourite), who is?
I know the producers wanted it to be their precious lead with the Michael Burnham character and they are trying hard to push her as the great one, but even you have to admit that she isn't getting the most positive response across the net.

I'm just trying to convince myself that getting Michelle Yeoh back is a completely fair trade for losing Jason Isaacs...
I don't understand how Lorca could be smart enough to con everyone on the Discovery, but then suddenly turns into an idiot just in time to be bested by Burnham and MU Georgiou alone..
If Isaacs is saying he's all done, I think that's the best evidence we have that he will be back at some point.
I’m sure we’ve seen that class of ship already in the Binary Star episode.
According to Eaglemoss, it’s called the Cardenas Class.

Who wants to bet George Kirk will be part of season 2?![]()
We can only hope.
I understand what you are saying. But successful shows often have to evolve or call audibles from the original formula if it’s not working at the level you hoped it would. I actually like the Burnham character, but I also realize she’s not all that popular. I also don’t think she can carry this show without a strong pillar like the Lorca character. The show runners hopefully saw what Isaacs brought to the show and if he’s willing and available, I hope we see him again as a regular. And if not, they better seriously consider bringing someone in to bolster this cast.I don't think "most" agree. And if they did that certainly doesn't validate the point.
Isaacs cant be wasted as a potential lead as the show, the story had zero potential for a man to play the lead. The show was conceived to be about Michael Burnham. Michael is a woman. All the casting woulda been looking for someone to play that character. Most can agree they like isaacs as an actor more than green, preference is all preference.
But the show revolving around the main character itbwas written for isn't a flaw. That's called, the show is about this character so its written about said character.
The problem isn't that isaacs is wasted, the problem is many of you just don't like the show and wish the show was something else entirely. But instead of saying that you say crazy things like "isaacs is wasted and should be the lead" which is essentially the same as saying "isaacs should be playing the woman, michael burnham"
Unless what you're trying to say is lorca should have been the lead, which again your saying the show should be about a revenge driven villain, and then you're talking about a completely different show.
Perhaps they will Discover strange new worlds...S2 will be almost like an entirely new show.
LOL. Airiam is a glorified background extra. Sulu and Uhura had more character moments in their first few Trek episodes than Airiam, Detmer, Reese and Owosekun combined. Mostly everything in this episode, including the villain, revolved around the 'great' Michael Burnham.
It's very unlikely they are planning to go back to the traditional ensemble Trek dynamic now.
So intelligent of you. You sound like the retard. There's no such thing as a SJW crowd. They are just rational people. Then there are the retards.
