Interesting. Which leaked plot line? The only one I know of is the "multiverse Sareks" thing from Midnight's Edge.

Seconding this. I don't want to know but I want to know. :p

yeah, that's the leak. That the Discovery tests a new propulsion system that ends up sending them into alternate dimensions but something goes wrong and they have to find their way back home thus explaining all the differences between Disco and the other shows and why the spore drive is not mentioned again. Just like Lorca and Stamets talked about here.

I'm a bit behind in the episode, waited a half hour or so so I could skip commercials on my PVR - but I'm fairly certain I saw Tyler with a Klingon head during the surgery flashbacks. Looks like he's a sleeper agent, doesn't even know own he's Voq.

I’m in Canada so we don’t get the previews, always gotta wait for the descriptions to be posted on here
Violence from Stamets in a sickbay gown after earlier being declared unresponsive. Burnham tells Tyler "you have to tell the captain." More "where are we?" Tyler tells L'Rell "you can't hurt me anymore." The tagline references boldly going "Too Far" but no mirror universe confirmation yet. Those were the things that stuck out at me.

Shit. Does that mean I have to go watch a Midnight's Edge video now? :(

Hey @Refuge, you were wrong. Burnham isn't a Mary Sue. The Discovery is. :p (Lorca gives a speech right before the first commercial break. you'll understand when you see it!)
Got to wait till later to watch. Yeah for some reason I think I recall thinking Rey from Star Wars is a Mary Sue.. Michael maybe not so much.. anyway I will look forward to the speech :)

"Bypassing Starfleet's orders, Lorca uses the USS Discovery crew's ultimate asset, the ship itself, in an effort to end the war with the Klingons once and for all." - Memory Alpha

The show will resume on January 7, 2018 for a 6-episode run, completing the first season. - Source

Halfway point and I'm on the edge of my seat...

A 10/10 for me and easily the best episode of the series so far. I know some people will complain about the Voq/Ash twist being telegraphed (though not explicitly confirmed yet), but I feel if all of the episodes were available right away instead of once per week, it might not have been guessed quite as easily. With one episode released per week, it invites extreme analysis of every little thing that happens. I also wish that Frakes didn’t spoil the mirror universe being featured (though again where they ended up at the end was not revealed as of this episode).

I think the future series potential of exploring parallel universes is very unique and potentially great. Also possible that they will be lost in different parallel universes and unable to find their way back. A twist on the Voyager premise.

Midnight's Edge just compiles rumours in one place, they don't "break news" themselves. . I can't remember where the original leak was - probably reddit. You can find a description of the leak on these forums if you really wanted too instead of watching the video.

Here's some future lines for scenes with Lieutenant Tyler:

"Wow, you're so good at shooting. It's like you're not even human."

"You're as good a fighter as any Klingon warrior, in my opinion."

"I'm telling you, Ash, only a surgically altered Klingon spy could scarf down burritos like you do."

Er... scratch that last one.

"I've never met anyone who likes prune juice as much as you."
