I rate this episode a 9. The show just gets better and better. I’m liking how even though it’s serialized each episode has had it’s own story, kind of like Enterprise season 3.

Lorca is nuts and I was worried he’d blow up the admiral’s shuttle. Definitely getting the Matt Decker vibes from him.

if i were to rate this taking CBS all access into account, id give it a 3. but i rated it a 9. great episode. hope we get more like it. creative and exciting. added so many layers of depth to the characters. Love Michael and Lorca. SMG showing again how wonderful she is and her approach to this character. Isaacs? dude is intriguing.

Wholly agree with you on this. Layers is a great way to describe it. I have to say, this is the first time on any platform that I have had issues with the streaming service, and there were definite, definite issues. Stream would leap forward by a second here and there and I'd have to go back and replay. Strange.

I really enjoyed this episode, a solid 9 from me as well.

The character development was really great. I like Tilly and Burham much more, and have a better understanding of Michael.

We have an answer now for the detractors wanting to know why Lorca wasn't relieved of command -- A) He knows how to fake his way through psych evaluations. B) He's been bangin' an Admiral. And it wasn't lost on me, just as it wasn't lost on Saru, that the one person that Lorca is not in any hurry to go rescue happens to be the one lady that threatened to relieve him of his command. His reaction with the phaser in bed as well as the final scene with it tucked into his pants show that he definitely has some severe PTSD issues going on.

The episode was great, I was hooked the entire time and am eagerly looking forward to the next one!

The shitty All Access app keeps kicking me out of the show. Last thing I saw was Cadet Twitchy being a pain in the ads during a scene where they name-checked the Enterprise. Because Star Trek.

The show keeps getting better.

We got a very clear, very poignant rationale for why Sarek was so "angry" as Spock for joining Starfleet. I thought that was very well done

Lorca is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters in the entire franchise.

Awesome jelling of the main cast this week.

9/10

My stream was OK, but I had trouble distinguishing the herky-jerky of the stream from the mindmeld.

Theory inspired by tonight's installment: were Cornwall and Lorca in the same graduating class at the Academy?

Good episode
I knew the admiral wasn't coming back from the peace mission the moment she said Lorca has to step down upon her return.
Too much talk of Katra in this episode and also the ENT vulcan episodes. Is Kirk the only person who hasn't heard of Katra?

They don't show the 'next time' here in Canada, I always have to wait for an upload.

I am sure you can find on Youtube in short order. Frankly I would rather watch this show on Space or Crave then on CBS All Access.

Dropped early. Attempt #7 to get thru the credits. CBS' platform is shite.

This is one fear I had about this show, that CBS All Access was inferior to something like Netflix on a technical side, that CBS All Access

The fact that everyone else in the world has better viewing options then the US for this show really hampers it.

Because I live in Canada, I can watch it on Space or catch it on Crave TV the next day and Crave is a way better service then CBS All Access.

"Cancri IV".

"Cancri" refers to a star in the constellation Cancer. So which star in that constellation was that conference held at?

I finally had to watch it in my laptop's browser, All Access app really sucked tonight. I gave this episode a 7 out of 10. Nothing spectacular. I really don't care for James Frain as Sarek.

So, I can't decide if Lorca will rescue Cornwall from the Klingons, which changes her mind about taking away his command, or if she'll be killed off, which would also prevent it.

They are going out of their way to hint at Tyler being a spy, making a point of showing him "watching" everything that's going on. Almost seems too obvious.
