3. Thanks for recognising that when black woman are in prison, relaxers are not available for use.
Stamets basically asked this and I didn't really like Lorca's non-answer.
The actor playing the Captain of the Discovery, is a good actor, for certain roles, non of his skills are really to be a nice guy. Always kinda tough guy roles. For me, he is absolutely the wrong choice, for a Star Fleet Captain I would like to watch long-term. As a guest role, sure, why not. Even play some sorta crazy guy, he could do that great, but a role that make you wanna like him (which I think is the essential idea behind Star Trek acting), that the Captains are likable persons. He is not.
May I assume you are not a black woman?????????????????
I don't think we're supposed to like his non-answer.
I think the writers are putting us at odds with him on purpose.
The previous incarnations of Star Trek made them the crazy bad guy just to make Kirk, Picard or Janeway look good. Real life is less black and white and perhaps Lorca is more realistic of a military leader.Loving Captain Lorca. Yes, he's much darker than other Captains we've followed before. But we've seen his type more often than not. This type of Captain does exist in all previous Star Trek's, we just never saw it from their point of view. Off the top of my head, there's the Captain of the Pegasus, the Captain in Equinox in Voyager who killed a bunch of aliens to use them for Warp Power. And numerous Admirals, probably 90% of them were like this.
I get the feeling this crew wipes itself out of continuity or just everyone dies, a la Rogue One, with the plans for the new drive.section 31 vibe!

May I assume you are not a black woman?![]()
Doesn't Burnham bring up the Geneva Convention, after helping Georgiou clearly break it the episode before?![]()
that would not make sense I hope it is a series of michas seasons, but it would not be bad that in the end michael took command of a ship of section 31I get the feeling this crew wipes itself out of continuity or just everyone dies, a la Rogue One, with the plans for the new drive.
You're not supposed to notice things like that.![]()
