"Massive photonic activity."

Bright light. The Beacon of Kahless, or whatever.

Has anyone told the Klingons that it will be hundreds of years before most if their brethren see it?

Well, I'm sure that this is one bit that they will explain after the commercial.
Maybe it's "massive photonic activity", accompanied by a modicum of FTL emissions that weren't mentioned because they were far less prominent?

Yeah, we'll see. :)

I'm having no luck with google. Where's that referenced?

"The Trouble with Tribbles"

I gave the first part a '7'. Some of it I liked, Sarek felt extraneous (would it kill them to use a viewscreen?), the Klingons babbled about honor.

We won't watch the second part til tomorrow night. Starting late and an early day tomorrow for everyone will do that.

Wait a minute - that's it?

That's supposed to be some kind of cliffhanger or something?

Honestly, this is pretty bad.

Yeah, the visuals are gorgeous, I definitely like Michael Burnham as a character, but the rest of this isn't working for me so far.

I didn't know the old Vulcans had it in them. Probably a good thing they were under a military dictatorship at the time.

I enjoyed the story of Voq, son of None. Other than that, I had trouble following the Klingons.

I'm guessing Michael's attempt at mutiny never made it into the history books, since it's unheard of ten years later.

I would've liked to see the Discovery in the first episode, but whatever.
