I know how much passion has gone into the debate over Admiral Janeway's death. I would never recommend you read Before Dishonor unless you are mostly interested in the storyline; and I am a fan of Peter David, who I think did admirably with the horrible task he was given. But if you are interested in hope do give Full Circle a glance. It is long but satisfying. It won't bring her back but it does flesh out so much and does send Voyager back to the Delta Quad - albeit with many diff personnel. It'll be like finally getting to know the people in the other building you never had a chnce to. And it gave very well done add'l lines about Kim and Torres/Paris. I enjoyed it very much in spite of Janeway's death and it left me feeling like there was something great to look forward to that Janeway had begun. And for what it's worth, the death scene in BD is not the gleeful killling rampage some make it out to be - death is death and is even more terrible in that it is someone we love - but I can't help but feel some people are coloring their description of the event with thier own spite. Shame on them. Hate me or hate me, but I still consider myself a Voyager fan and I think the book is quite an accomplishment and worthy of the read.
