The only good things to inevitably come out of this movie will be the Nostalgia Critic and CinemaSins videos of it.
Presumably to see them spout the same nonsense they usually do, yes?
I’d rather watch the movie than Cinema Sins.
I can think of diseases I'd rather have than watch one of their videos, but fair enough.
EWW videos are awesome! About a level below HISHE videos, but not bad at all.

My Chromecast tried to auto play one despite constantly tell YouTube I wasn’t interested in seeing their videos. I couldn’t connect my tablet quick enough, so I unplugged it. It’s pointless tripe for idiots who think something they don’t personally understand due to not playing attention is a flaw. It ruins film criticism and discussion.
Youtube won't take no for an answer, there are channels I've hit 'not interested' on about 100 times and it does nothing. I've sat through a few of them to see why people went on about them, they don't fact check the simplest things or give major "sins" for things they totally missed lol.
They’ve claimed some are “jokes”, which means they’re just making shit up to complain. I’d do less damage to my brain by slamming my head into a brick wall at 40 mph.
While I've never gotten into the Pokemon franchise and thus don't really have any interest in DP, I have to say the trailers look visually very impressive. All the Pokemon looked pretty accurate, from someone who doesn't know more than a few specific ones.
It's a pity that Sonic doesn't look nearly that good.

When I first saw the trailer to Detective Pikachu, I thought it looked kind of adorable and maybe a little fun. When I first saw this trailer just now, I feel like I need to take a shower to get this stench of this thing out. What the hell was that?
Okay, I've no care or regard for the Sonic franchise or whatever. So I've no real horse in this race.
But, to be fair, I've the same feelings for Power Rangers and I actually liked the Power Rangers movie from last year or whenever that one was.
This movie.... YIKES. What the hell was that? I mean.... It looks horrible on so many different levels, what was anyone behind this thing thinking?! Gangsta's Paradise for the song in the trailer?! Who the hell made THAT decision?!
The only thing that was even slightly "interesting" about the trailer was the humor from Jim Carey, which felt like good, classic, Jim Carey. But that's not enough.
And I agree with the above poster the Cinema Sins and Nostalgia Critic videos for this movie will the most "fun" experience of it, as well as the Angry Joe and Midnight Screenings/Stoned Gremlin screening night reviews.

This looks like pure cringe, plus Jim Carrey being Jim Carrey. Which gives it nostalgia points but is also sometimes cringe.
