Smallville renewed for Season 10

^Was that necessary ? Personal comments about an actresses looks aren't going to help the show one bit.

Besides, there's nothing wrong with her.

^^
Cassidy Freeman is a lovely woman.

The problem with Tess now is they got her all over the place...hopefully they will have her on a good and steady course until the end of the series.

Tess was one of the things that I found refreshing last season even if they had her as Lex's protege. Lana ruined everything about last season IMO (just kidding) when she exposed Lex's machinations regarding Tess. Then the writers teased that Tess might turn out to help Clark but now she's evil again. I agree her character's been a mess since Lana exposed Lex's intenions regarding her. Cassidy Freeman is not ugly at all...WTF.

She's a disaster and really the only complaint I have of the past two seasons.
You mean you liked the episodes where Lana came back, Clark dropped Lois like a sack of rotting shit, and followed Lana around with puppy eyes, Lana gets super powers and Clark is ready to devote his undying love to her? Then she absorbs some kryptonite, so Clark starts after Lois again and suddenly Lois is the love of his life?

Gods...you reminded me of why I hated Lana's return! I've said it a thousand times and I'll say it again Lana should have been written out with the video diary. There was no reason to bring Kristen back whatsoever. The video diary goodbye was in her character's way of not dealing with things when things got bad and was perfect way to write her out. Some great destiny Lana has becoming Kryptonite Woman. I doubt that is what Saturn Girl was referring to when she told her that. Geoff Johns must've been pulling the remainder of his hair out when he saw the Kryptonite Woman episode.

Well, Lois actually is the love of his life. That's part of why Lana was so annoying, she just wouldn't go away.

Besides, at least Lois is fun. I can't imagine how frakking miserable Clark would be married to Lana.

If it is one thing Smallville did a good job of...it is ruining the character Lana Lang.

:(

Mack is a talented actress, and plays Chloe well, but the character is not and never was leading lady material. It showed when they tried that in season 8. She only got these last two seasons because tptb were desperate because they were losing two main characters and didn't know if the show could survive if it lost another regular.

For the sake of her career, she really should move on. Another season of we-can't-figure-out-what-to-do-with-her-now would not be very good for her.

Speak for yourself. I thought season 8 was brilliant for a number of reasons, one of which was Chloe/AM's "promotion".

But I do agree that if they can't figure out what to do with her without pissing off all her fans then yes, she should move on. That goes for all of the characters.

Well they can't even figure out what to do with Clark Kent. Yet practically every, single person in the world knows who he becomes. Is it really a surprise that they can't handle their own creation?

Wow, when this show started I never imagined it would be on track to becoming the longest running sci-fi series. Wonders never cease

I think Doctor Who might have something to say about that.

Even if you just count American shows, it's still only going to draw level with Stargate SG-1.

It will pass SG1 on episode count because Sci Fi started giving 20 episode season orders instead of 22 towards the end of SG1.

And according to Guinness, SG1 currently holds the record. Although no one is quite sure what definition Guinness uses that put SG1 ahead of Doctor Who.

Indeed, and it may very well have an 11th season. I haven't seen any signs of it slowing down

I think Guinness was using a definition of "longest continuously-running". Doctor Who has been broken up by indefinite hiatuses too often.
