The average lifespan in the United States is 78. 78 / 2 = 39. One could argue that "middle-aged" is reasonably defined as the 5 years above or below the mid-point. As such, middle-aged would be defined as between ages 34 and 39. In other words, the guy is almost middle-aged (if not quite).
Been offline for the last week due to router problems. Ugh. I am not really sure what to make of this announcement. Most of you who follow the show should be familiar with my ongoing frustration with Smallville. I originally thought that if the inevitable happened and it was renewed for a tenth season I would drop it. I think I'll do what I always do and cool off and recharge during the summer hiatus.The only thing that would make me stop watching Smallville permanently would be a truly gods awful season finale...and considering we had a pretty bad one last season I don't know what that could consist of. I agree with...I think it was Bad Bishop in the first page of this thread who said the tenth season SHOULD be the FINAL season. I think the series should have ended five seasons ago personally but alas. I think Allison Mack is going to be another eleventh hour decision regarding returning to the show unless of course that decision has already been made and we will see the results of it in the season finale in may. I don't think she'll be returning next season.

Well, again, I watched the show from the start, gave up way back, and came back in time to see the alternate future episode, and then the JSA episode. The vampire episode was stupid, but smallville has had stupid episodes from the very begining. Most of what I have seen this year I have liked. But I do agree that Allison Mack is the most important part of this show...and she even looks cuter now than she did in earlier seasons!!!

I'm with you on that one, Bud! Although I'd really like to have the ultimate pay-off (with the tights & cape), the thing I really want is for him to start flying. He's like the only alien on the planet that can't!
Yet they keep trying to make out that she's some sort of misunderstood good guy who is only trying to help Clark.
They do that with female villains a lot on American TV. There's always an excuse, some sort of get out clause to explain their actions. They can't just be evil.

Tess is too pretty to just be evil.
The truth the character is a lost cause at this point...who knows how it will end for her but I am sure it won't be well.

Why ? Evil is hot. I'd like her a lot more if she was just out and out evil and perhaps wore some sort of evil leather outfit of evil.

Oliver would probably be enough of a sucker to save her if he had to, especially after we saw him blubbing over her in "Pandora".
I can see Tess' death coming at the hands of the hundreds of employees she's fired for being a minute late or getting her coffee order slightly wrong.

I called ChloEVILage way back w/ the Brainiac stuff. I was surprised and disappointed when it didn't happen. At the time I expected a Dark Willow type of thing where it'd be Clark v. ChloEVILage in the season finale; however, a full season of ChloEVILage would be better.
I hope that Chloe returns for your continued viewing Proculus,but remember what I showed you about Ally's plans post show after this season.
