Spoilers Skeleton Crew [Spoiler Discussion]

So it's looking like Jod really is a bad guy. I had thought he really was a good guy, just playing the bad guy to survive, but his behavior this week makes him look like he really is a bad guy.
I did like the way they did little game of hot potato with the parents' comm device in the woods.
I'm starting to wonder if perhaps there is no actual Supervisor, and the whole thing is just automated. The droids seem to be kind of running things, and now the whole thing with the arrival of the Onyx Cinder was automated, and you'd think if there were people running things, they would have stopped it before the violent pirate got down into the vault.

There has to be some other big twist. It would be cool when Jod produces the lightsaber and takes a swing at the kids because the parents are not being cooperative and is suddenly stopped in mid arc, everyone turns to see Wim's father using the force to stop Jod and Wim then realizing his father was Jedi the entire time.
Respectfully, that would be terrible and a betrayal of the show's storyline.

He may just be a tad force sensitive and know a few tricks. That's it. Certainly doesn't know enough to become full dark side.
He does seem to know some genuine Jedi aphorisms though, basically verbatim. The interesting part is that they came out not when he was leaning into the con that he was a Jedi, but much later when he seemed to genuinely be trying to give life advice. That he seemed to drastically misrepresent the intent of those words only serves to speak to his own personal outlook.

The most likely explanation is that he was at least partly trained, either at the temple or as a "bokken" Jedi. Assuming Jod is about the same age as Jude Law, he'd have been around about his mid-20s during the Clone Wars, so a little young to have still been a padawan, meaning he was either a full Knight that survived Order 66, or he could simply be a wash-out that left the Order years prior.
I'm curious how Rennod got the mint ship in the first place. Plus, why was it crashed/hidden in the forest? What happened to Rennod?
Good question considering by Rennod's time, At Attin was already a legendary lost planet, so it's not like he could have hijacked it en-route since the shipments hand long since been halted.

Given that it looks to have been in very good condition before he clad it in armour, it may have been brand-new, straight off the production line. Which means it was either in some rich person's private collection (and they presumably didn't know what they had), or salvaged from the hangar holds of some giant bulk freighter left adrift for centuries.
Given the extensive modifications, it seems like Rennod had the Cinder for quite some time before finally tracking down At Achrann's location, so he may not have realised what he had initially . . . or there was some other train of breadcrumbs to follow that led him there; maybe even the very same symbol that Kh'ymm to interpret the coordinates?

Given that when the kids found SM-33 his hand was holding what is presumably the main power breaker in the "off" position; I'm guessing Rennod had SM-33 cut the power mid-flight after in concubine stabbed him to make sure neither of them got the loot.

I'm not 100% convinced of this, yet. I can still see his threats to the children and parents as a bit of an act.

Yes, Jod is not a saint. He is a pirate. He is in it for the gold. He is willing to kill, but Brutus waa far from innocent. He has threatened the children and the parents, but I think that's more of an act.

Plus, there still is the pirate frigate and Checkov's cannon on top of the school.

I think Jod was trained as a Jedi but, since Order 66 he has fallen from his moral center, but he's not an evil villainous pirate. Jod is going to show deep down he's heroic. In the end he will fight against the invading pirates, possibly using that big cannon.

I expect the supervisor is a Droid or a computer.

I can't wait until Neel someday shares a scene with Grogu. It is what ever Star Wars fans wants!
This SW fan would be perfectly content to never see Grogu again.

Three seasons in (plus BOBF episodes) and Grogu remains a cute prop, not an actual character.

But he is adorable! Whenever he shows up one can not help feel a smile on their face and feel all happy when he walks or eats something he shouldn't!

My favorite Grogu joke was that time he ate something.

And then other time when he also ate something.

And then that great episode where he ate something else.

Hilarious! Never gets old!

At this point, that would be terrible and unearned. And fighting "against" the pirates? His actions to date have already proven himself worse than any other pirate we've seen.
