You mean the fans of a show where they ridicule and make fun of other people's work ..?can we all just agree that MSTies are better than Trekkers, Star Wars fans and Browncoats?

Jar Jar Binks actor seriously considered suicide. I don't really remember Kate Mulgrew or Sonequa Martin-Green ever saying something like that. I don't know why do you insist in affirming that the two fandoms are virtually identical in their nastiness.A lot of fans got more than "a little too mad" about "Star Trek Discovery". "Star Trek Voyager" has been consistently bashed since 1995. And I can also recall a good number of fans getting upset over the strong female presence in "Picard". I've always suspected that the Star Wars fandom tend to be a bit more racist than sexist. And I believe the Star Trek fandom tend to be more sexist than racist.
I actually never watched an episode of MST3K so I read the Wiki page about it and, wow, they even made fun of what are usually considered good movies, like This Island Earth. But even if we talk only about "bad movies", I'm sure that some people who made them genuinely tried to make the best with the resources they had. I believe they knew they didn't make some immortal masterpiece but just some entertaining work of fiction. I think that making fun of them just for this is a little cruel. It's like deriding low income people because they live in a trailer and not in some fancy house. Indeed I read on the Wiki page that some of their "targets" weren't very happy of the whole thing.Touché!

Please point me to the Star Trek equivalent of the racist messages toward Moses Ingram, thank you.Because I believe they are. No disrespect to Ahmed Best, but I don't think his response to toxic Star Wars fandom is a sign that the latter is worse than the Trek fandom. I believe Best's reaction was something that came from him. Just because he had reacted that way, does not mean Kate Mulgrew, Sonequa Martin-Green or any other important actress who faced bashing was going to automatically react in the same way.
My opinion about the Star Wars and Trek fandoms came from years of observing not only both fandoms, but also of fandoms for franchises like "Lost" or "Babylon 5".

If only she wasn't such a snowflake! /SI assume Kelly Marie Tran being bullied off of social media was also her fault, correct?

It isn't like the worst type of insult? "I was just kidding"? A way to put the blame on the offended person if s/he gets mad at the insult? And reading on the Wiki page not all the targets of their jokes were equally amused. I mean, the Japanese studio owner of the Gamera movies was very, very offended by the MST3K's treatment. It's a very funny show, and not meant to be taken seriously.

Fans don't relax. They get offended if a show is too dark, to comedic, or if a prop looks too modern. Telling them to lighten up is almost certainly like telling them, "lighten up. It's only a joke "It's really really really really really not. To quote the theme song, repeat to yourself "It's just a show, I should really just relax"...

I believe what he was saying, if it needs to be spelled out and @The Nth Doctor can correct me if I'm wrong, is that you said "No disrespect to Ahmed Best" and then proceeded to disrespect him by implying that his reaction to the hate was some form of personal failing, not that it was a disproportionate level of hate as compared to the others.Meaning what?
